Tillandsia ionantha is a very diverse species of air plant. There are several infraspecific variations, or forms, based on the location where the plant originates. All of them are easy to care for and unique in their own way. Tillandsia ionantha grows 1-3” long needle like leaves that radiate out from a central growth point and are covered in Trichomes (hair like structures). These trichomes help the plant absorb and retain moisture. Adult plants will “blush”, or usually shift in color, when they are getting ready to bloom.
*A 72 hour heat pack will be included to any order containing perishable, or live organisms going to locations experiencing temperatures below 50 Degrees F.
