Thomson uses a long 1.614 inch (41 mm) seat rail grip length. This helps prevent seat rail bending from impact loads. Most brand-x seatposts have grip lengths of .500 inch or more shorter than the grip length.
The Thomson seatpost design incorporates a bending fuse to prevent catastrophic failure. All brand-x seatposts Thomson tested - every one of them - failed in catastrophic failure with the seat and clamp components - and sometimes pieces of the tube and head - flying off in all directions. This type of failure would dump the rider.
The Thomson seatpost has a clamp, head, and upper tube strong enough to withstand 350 foot-lbs of torque. The tube will start to yield and bend at the seat tube clamp at about 250 foot-lbs of torque. Remember all brand-x posts Thomson tested flew apart at less than 150 foot-lbs of torque. Under severe impact the Thomson seatpost would bend slightly and allows the rider to come to a safe stop or finish the ride. The ride could continue.

Great Chromebook for Everyday Use

I’m very happy with this ASUS Chromebook. It’s fast, lightweight, and extremely easy to use. ChromeOS runs smoothly, starts up in seconds, and handles everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, emails, and documents without any issues.
The battery life is excellent, lasting most of the day, and the design is slim and comfortable to carry around. The keyboard is responsive, and the screen quality is good for work, school, or entertainment.
Overall, this Chromebook offers great performance for the price and is perfect for students, home use, or anyone who needs a reliable and simple laptop. Highly recommended.

Touch screen, long battery life, and it has a MicroSD slot on the side. Missing a backlit keyboard

Overall, this is a great computer for the price. It's not the fastest, but it's not the slowest. I just wish it had a backlit keyboard. And computers or laptops that have backlit keyboards are usually on the pricier side. They should make a Chrome laptop that has a backlit keyboard that is under $300. Anyhow, it starts up real quick, I noticed that it is a little bit heavy, but that's a good thing because if the battery is lasting a long time and it does seem to last a long time, then I'm okay with it being heavy. I've always trusted this brand, and I also like that it has a touch screen feature. With that being said, if it has a touch screen feature, it should automatically include a backlit keyboard. Anyhow, great computer at a great price. The big selling point for me is that it had a memory card slot for your memory cards. I have a DJI drone, and I needed a computer or should I say a laptop that had a memory card slot on the side and this one has it. And you don't need the big adapter that comes with many micro SD cards. The micro SD card fit perfectly into the slot on the side of the computer

Look elsewhere for a different device. This is garbage

I normally don't write reviews, but when I do it's either for something outstanding or something that should be steered clear by everyone in the general public. Unfortunately, this one is for the latter. I purchased this device to begin with as a laptop to be used by my son for Chicago public schools and allow him to be able to access his school work. Upon receiving the first unit physically, the device looks and feels wonderful and within 2 days of starting to use it. The screen was no longer capable for touch capabilities and the keyboard was non-functional as well. I called their customer support line at Asus and Asus. Couldn't figure out what was wrong either, but I was supposed to pay to send a device I just bought to go have it repaired by Asus and this is why I say their customer service is knowledge below standard but I would say some of the worst there is on the market today. Amazon luckily was able to step in and send me a new unit as a replacement. Amazon's customer service is some of the best I've ever you dealt with. Got the new unit and now this one over here. Can't even stay connected to Wi-Fi. My kid can't do his homework. This computer is a total piece of garbage even for something as simple as a means to do homework for a grade school. I will never touch another asus device again and I would advise anyone else that is looking into this product to look elsewhere to avoid the frustration that I'm going through right now

Best product in this price range

Purchased for my seven-year-old daughter. Since she is young, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it. This is a sleek and durable Chromebook with a long-lasting battery and large screen, perfect for watching movies (which she loves to do!). So far I haveno complaints or reservations about it.
