This is one of those plants that just makes you smile, with the unruly foliage that springs unbridled from a cluster of stems. Corkscrew rush is a cultivar of a plant native to Japan. This horticultural hybrid was bred for the whimsical foliage. The round blades twist gently from the base all the way up to the top of the foliage. Deep green leaves often bear some striping, providing showy plants for partially shady areas.If you like unusual indoor plants, you'll want to add this spectacular ornamental to your collection. Stunning on its own, corkscrew rush also adds some sizzle among a display of leafy and flowering plants. In fact, those curly-Q stems are sometimes used in florists' bouquets.
- Water generously. Constantly wet soil is needed to keep Juncus effusus 'Spiralis' healthy and thriving. Don't allow the soil to dry out. Foliage will turn yellow then brown if it gets too dry. It's a good idea to keep your corkscrew rush plant in a pot without a drainage hole. Juncus is native to marsh areas, so it loves soggy soil -- even standing water.
- Shed some light. Put your Juncus plant in your sunniest window -- or shift it outdoors for the spring and summer. It will tolerate lower light levels, but won't grow much. If you don't have a spot near a window, grow lights work beautifully.
- Repot in spring, moving up to a container 1 size larger when it becomes crowded. Juncus is fast-growing when it gets the sunlight and water it wants. You may need to divide it every spring.

Great travel book for kids.
Format: Paperback
This book was great, I plan to get one for any other city we visit that they have a book for. Good level info for my 8 year old but also had some fun things for my 4 year old to do. Very flexible so we could just see what we were going to see & work it into the ‘mission’. We would bust it out at our cafe/people watching stops to see what we needed to do at the next stop. The information was fun for kids and adults. You get to set points for a few things so the mission is completely attainable no matter what you do in the city AND you can set points for adventurous things your kiddos might not otherwise do... eg I got my 4 year old to try escargot!

Worth it!
Format: Paperback
Great book to help keep kids engaged and excited to tour through Paris. Recently used it on our trip with 5-8 year olds and had a blast searching for paintings in museums or various sites through the city. Had some interesting facts/history to share about the various places (although wish it had more)

Kept a 10 year old engaged
Format: Paperback
I bought this for my 10 year old for our trip to Paris. It contained some activities that kept him interested during our museum/castle trips. It even lead us to Chateau de Vincennes which we wouldn’t have found on our own! The Louvre hunt had us going all over the place (mainly because he can’t leave anything incomplete) but it helped initiate conversations about history.
The only issue is that the Notre Dame challenge is sadly impossible to complete now based on the fire in April. I also wish something would be added regarding Les Invalides.
If you have elementary aged kids then I would highly recommend.

Excellent addition to a trip
Format: Paperback
Just got back from Paris. My 9 year old daughter loved using this book throughout our adventures. It was light enough to carry with us each day and had a nice mix of information to read and things to look for. There were A LOT of different sites listed. In a week we still didn't get to some of them. Would definitely buy one of these books for another trip.
