Sansevieria aubrytiana 'Yellowstone' is an ornamental plant that belongs to the Asparagaceae family. It is a variety of the Sansevieria species, known for its resilience and unique appearance. 'Yellowstone' is distinguished by its long, thick, vertical leaves that are dark green with yellow or golden edges. The leaves are often striped or spotted with lighter or darker colors, adding an interesting visual contrast.

It is said that the mother-in-law's tongue has positive energy that improves mood and extinguishes conflicts.
Sansevieria is famous for converting CO2 into O2 at night. It is said that in an environment with no fresh air at all, if you have 6-8 Sansevieria plants per person, they will produce enough oxygen to live. NASA ranked it among the top plants that absorb toxins, especially nitrogen oxides and formaldehyde.
It also helps maintain normal humidity in the atmosphere. Perhaps because of these properties, Feng Shui practitioners consider it a beneficial plant.

Sansevieria aubrytiana 'Yellowstone' is a relatively easy plant to care for. Here are some tips:

  • Light: The plant prefers bright indirect light but can tolerate direct sunlight for short periods.
  • Watering: Water the plant when the soil is completely dry. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
  • Temperature: The plant prefers moderate temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
  • Humidity: The plant tolerates a wide range of humidity levels.
  • Soil: The plant prefers well-drained soil made of sand, gravel, and compost.
  • Fertilizer: Fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.
  • Repotting: Repot the plant every 2-3 years when the roots fill the pot.

📌 Note: Sansevieria is a resilient plant, but its rigid leaves may show scars, scratches, mechanical marks, slightly dried tips, small deformations, or imperfections that appeared during growth, handling, or transport. These aspects are common in plants with tough leaves and do not affect the plant's viability.

Height with pot included approx. 40 cm

Outstanding Book
Format: Paperback
Great book, a classic that seems more timely now than ever! First read Dr Akbar’s book years ago and bought this updated edition to replace the copy someone borrowed & never returned (another sign of a good book when they don’t get returned). So glad to have this new copy to revisit the deep wisdom and insights Dr Akbar lays out. He explains the painful & persistent psychological & sociological chains of slavery clearly and irrefutably. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to better understand why it’s so hard to heal the terrible wounds of slavery — even today, even generations past physical shackles....

Quick & Informative Read
Format: Paperback
I only called it a “quick read” because when I get warped in a book, I lose track of time. This is one of those books. Quite an easy read. Recently Purchased the other books that were recommended with this one.

Format: Paperback
This book is a game changer in that it takes an in-depth look at the lingering and undeniable effects of slavery on the psyche of today's African Americans. It is thought provoking and thorough and a must read for those seeking to understand the why's of what's happening today in the lives of many African Americans and how it correlates to the savagery of slavery.
