Planting Instructions:

Soil Preparation:

Choose an area with heavy, well-draining soil that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight each day. Remove weeds, large rocks, and litter from the planting area. Leave small weeds and dead grass, they will enrich the soil when turned under. Spade or till the soil 6-8 inches deep. Loosening the soil will help the plant establish strong roots. If the soil is heavy or clay-like, mix in some sand or compost to improve drainage. Optionally, form hills or ridges of soil beds 4-6 inches high and at least 12 inches apart at the base of a trellis. This formation of hills or ridges will help with drainage, ensure good airflow, and make harvesting for cut flowers easier. To prepare a trellis, choose a sturdy structure such as an arbor, fence, or pergola. If using a wall or post, attach garden netting or string for the vines to climb. Lay down 1/2"-3/4" peat moss, sawdust, or potting soil, the soil surface. This layer is beneficial for flower seeds because it can the improve the germination environment and prevent soil crusting.

Planting:

To improve germination, scarify seeds by vigorously shake the seeds with course sand in a bag, or nick the hard seed coat with a file before planting.

Starting Indoors: For earlier blooms, you may optionally start planting indoors in containers 4-6 weeks before the last expected frost date in Spring, keeping seedlings at least 60F. Harden off then transplant seedlings outdoors in a sunny location when temperatures are consistently above 60F. To transplant seedlings, prepare a transplant hole outdoors in a sunny location. Remove the plants carefully from the pots or flats and set them in the transplant holes, burying some of the stem in the ground. Pack the soil loosely around the plant and leave a slightly sunken area around each plant to hold water. Water the plants after transplanting.

Directly Sowing: If directly sowing outdoors, plant after all danger of frost has passed in spring and soil temperatures reach at least 60F. Can be planted in the fall in warmer climates or indoors with supplemental grow lights.

To plant, make holes 1/4 inch deep and spaced 12-18 inches apart at the base of the prepared trellis. Plant 2-3 seeds per hole, then cover thinly with soil. In small plots, flower seeds may be scattered and gently watered in. Once seedlings emerge, plants can separated and spaced 12-18 inches apart at the base of the prepared trellis to allow room for mature plants to spread and prevent overcrowding. Water after planting.

Planting Depth: 1/4 inch
Within-Row Spacing: 12-18 inches
Between-Row Spacing: 12-18 inches

Care During the Season:

Firecracker Vine requires regular watering, but be sure to allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. This fast-growing vine benefits from a balanced fertilizer every 4 to 6 weeks to encourage vibrant blooms. As a vigorous climber, it can need support such as a trellis or fence to allow it to reach its full height, about 10 feet. Pruning is not necessary, but trimming back any overgrowth will help maintain shape and prevent it from becoming too unruly. Firecracker Vine is a heat-loving plant, so be mindful of cooler temperatures, as it will stop growing if exposed to frost. In cooler climates, it’s best to treat this plant as an annual or grow it in containers that can be brought indoors when temperatures drop.

Customer service –4 stars. Vacuum, 5 stars
Size: 11S MAX, Size: 11S MAX
I received the wrong remote control for this product. It doesn't work with the vacuum at all. I called Eufy customer support twice. The 1st time, after I told them the issue with the remote, they would put me on a 3 minute hold, come back and ask me the same question. This happened 3 times. They then asked me for my email address so I could send them the picture of the remote. They told me to stay on hold but the call disconnected and I never received the email to send them the pictures. The 2nd time I called them I told them the same issue with the remote, they put me on a 25 minute hold and they never came back. I instead received an automated survey message to let them know how they did. They did poorly. Massive waste of time. I didn't want to return the whole vacuum just because of the remote. It's refurbished and the vacuum itself works very well! All I need is the correct remote.

My favorite robot vacuum! Works awesome!!
Size: 11S MAX, Size: 11S MAX
Eufy is by far my favorite robot vacuum brand we had one for several years and it did amazing with everything from dust to hair and even rocks didn’t phase it! It is super easy to set up, turn on, the settings are very user friendly and emptying the dust bin is super simple! They are very powerful but also compact and can fit in smaller places so that’s great for us and even when I don’t think there’s much on the floor it always gets full! You honestly can’t beat the price for how great these awesome little vacuums work definitely get your value for your money! I was a little skeptical getting the refurbished or Like-New one but I am super impressed so far! So grateful for tools like this to have around that are great at lending a hand 🤩

Sort of OK Budget model
Size: 11S MAX
I'm giving this model 5 stars because at this price, especially "renewed," it's a great robo vac. It is NOT anywhere near the hands-off level of other machines. It can't map the rooms, bumps its way around fairly successfully, but needs frequent hands on to fix something. In my case, with 2 long-haired cats, the most frequent issue is tangled hair in the roller. The machine stops dead and sends out 4 beep distress sounds for a while, then shuts down. Also, the remote seems to work only in line of sight, so if Eufy is stuck somewhere you can't see, and you were out, to find it you'll have to hunt with your eyes. Nevertheless, if your funds are limited, top choice. Update: After 6 months of usage, I'm giving it only 3 stars. Problems: 1) if you have long-haired cats (I do) their hair clogs the roller fairly quickly. After a while, no matter how well you clean the hairs out, you have to replace the roller entirely as hair seems to get inside it and cause the machine to stop working entirely. 2) the remote works only if you can see Eufy and it can "see" you. If it gets stuck in some place out of sight, lots of luck finding it. 3) when told to go to home base and recharge, it bumps around for a long time trying to find the way home. Bottom line: Where it vacuums the rug/floor is clean, but it takes a lot of baby sitting. Definitely not first choice unless funds are really tight.
