The Philodendron 'Golden Crocodile' is a spectacular and trendy tropical hybrid prized for its uniquely textured, serrated foliage and vibrant golden-yellow hue. It’s an eye-catching statement piece for any indoor plant collection. A popular cultivar belonging to the Philodendron genus within the Araceae (Aroid) family. It's sometimes known as 'Golden Saw', 'Golden Serratum', or 'Golden Ring of Fire'.
Its unique and striking foliage is its hallmark. The large, elongated leaves emerge in a vibrant, almost neon, golden-yellow/chartreuse color and develop distinctively deeply lobed, jagged, or serrated edges that give the plant its 'Crocodile' name, resembling the textured skin of the reptile. This bold color and texture make it a highly desirable houseplant.
Grows at a medium rate. It can reach a mature height and spread of about 4 feet indoors over time.

Prefers bright, indirect light. The more light it receives, the more vibrant its golden color will be. It can tolerate medium light, but avoid direct, harsh sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Water when the top 1-2 inches (2.5 - 5 cm) of soil is dry to the touch. It’s better to slightly underwater than overwater, as it is susceptible to root rot.
Use a rich, well-draining, chunky aroid potting mix (a blend often containing potting soil, perlite, orchid bark, or coco coir) to ensure good aeration and drainage.

Withstands very aggressive chewing

We have a very active and aggressive chewer. Items identified for aggressive chewers are “Gone in 60 Seconds”. This toy is amazing. It has withstood Jake’s many attempts to destroy it and is one of his favorites! It is not hard like acrylic but is hard rubber with some give decreasing risk of fractured teeth. Best toy yet!!!

Well loved

We just got this sweet girl from the shelter a few days ago. She's had this toy for 2 days and already chomped off one of the legs. She does have other toys so she doesn't play with this one all the time but she does like it a lot! It's very hard and durable on the ends. But as you can see, it's not indestructible. She carries this little guy around the house like they're BFFs. It's super adorable.

Happy hound!

My 2 yr old bloodhound destroys every toy in minutes, but not this one. My husband and I actually buy toys to see how long they last for fun. Although the croc is NOT indestructible, it lasts a whole lot longer than most. After an hr or so, I took away the only piece he's chewed off which is part of the back leg. Otherwise nothing else is missing off the croc. Our boy has been very occupied with this new toy and we're satisfied with his new distraction!

Definitely a tough toy

This is one of the few toys my
Boxer/american bulldog mix hasn’t been able to tear apart. He loves chewing on it and I love that he doesn’t chew on stuff he shouldn’t.
I have such an issue with toys being torn apart the day I bring them home. I wish there was a safe way for it to have a squeaker since he loves squeakers but I don’t think that is possible.
