It has beautiful, heart shaped leaves and the sought after “shingling” growth habit, making this a prized Philodendron amongst hobbyists. It is a moderate growing species, and roots relatively easily. It needs moderate light, as bright light may bleach it to a pale yellow, and can cause it to dwarf in size. This Philodendron does well in high humidity, and appreciates some airflow, although it is not required. Moist sphagnum moss is helpful for rooting this species.

All of our cuttings have adventitious, aerial roots. Our rooted specimens will have at least a few active roots and will be established plants. Our plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment.
