The colourful spathes can last as long as 6 weeks before dying back. However, rarer forms of Anthurium are sought-after for their impressive leaves rather than their spathes.

Care for these plants which are supplied in hydroponic growing pots: 
Best kept in moderate to bright, indirect light. A reservoir is located at the base of the pot below the root section. Fill this when the water meter reaches 'watering can' level every 4 to 6 weeks. Apply feed in spring/summer every 4 weeks and mist frequently. Avoid cold draughts.
