They fire the clay at extremely high temperatures, which gives the pots unique and natural durability. Thanks to the high quality of the unglazed clay pots, Bergs Potter's pots are naturally resilient to frost. If properly taken care of they can endure many winters outside in the cold. It's key to ensure proper drainage inside the pot to avoid clogging in the drainage hole at the bottom of the bot. If the hole gets clogged, water will accumulate and when the temperature drops below freezing this water will turn into ice which can expand and might damage your pot, but if you take good care of them, they can be passed down from generation to generation. Each pot is a unique work of art, ranging from the simplicity of the Scandinavian design to the classic vibes of Tuscany.
