Origins
Native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia, Philodendron gloriosum grows as a terrestrial hemiepiphyte along the forest floor rather than climbing into the canopy. This ground-dwelling habit is important to understand for potting: the rhizome should sit on or just above the substrate surface, not be buried.
