Western redbud is a deciduous, large shrub or small, multi-stemmed tree with a compact rounded form. It announces the dawning of spring, as early as February, when it becomes blanketed in a sensational display of showy magenta flowers. Its twiggy branches bear delicate heart-shaped leaves that emerge light green but darken as the season progresses. By summer, unique, dark brown seed pods droop heavily on the branches, which are highly nutritious for backyard birds. In cooler climates, the fall color is quite nice.

  • Plant type/canopy layer: deciduous, perennial, large shrub or small tree
  • Size at maturity: 10-20’ tall, 10-15’ wide
  • Light requirements: full sun, part sun/part shade
  • Moisture requirements: dry to moist soil
  • Bloom time: Feb - April
  • Growth rate/ease: medium growth rate, very easy to grow
  • Wildlife support: flowers attract and support hummingbirds, adult butterflies and bees and other insect pollinators; seed pods attract and provide nutrient-rich food for birds; overall plant supports beneficial and pest-eating insects;
  • Native habitat/range: found in canyons, slopes, foothills and mountains of southern Oregon (rare/Siskiyous), predominantly in California, as well as Utah and Arizona. In northern/wetter areas, it's more common on dry slopes whereas in the southern/drier areas it’s near higher elevation creeks and more moist areas. Portland Plant List - no.
  • Special features & uses: attracts hummingbirds, song birds and pollinators; deer resistant; fascinating late season color; landscape uses include bank stabilization, pollinator gardens, and woodland gardens

Gardening with Western Redbud: This gorgeous landscape plant is not historically native to our area, but does have occurrences in southern Oregon. So as the climate shifts, it's an exciting and highly-versatile species to consider adding to the habitat garden. It will thrive in mostly sunny sites with well-drained soil, but ultimately it adapts to a wide range of soil moisture and drainage, including alkaline, acidic and sodic soils - as well as exceptional drought-tolerance. It responds well to pruning, even occasional hard pruning if needed or desired. Consider placing this in your oakscape areas, along with pacific madrone (Arbutus menziesii), Ceanothus species; coast silktassel (Garrya elliptica), mock orange (Philadelphus lewisii), blue elderberry (Sambucus caerulea), birchleaf spiraea (Spiraea betulifolia var. lucida), foothill sedge (Carex tumulicola), fringecup (Tellima grandiflora), Oregon sunshine (Eriophyllum lanatum) or checkermallows (Sidalcea sp.)

Works Good!
Color: Grey
I was concerned it was going to be too small, especially since the tall portion design doesn't allow you to hang on the ourside....But I have a very nice glass container of dish detergent in it, a bottle of hand soap, and the tall container for taller brushes, straw cleaners, etc. It fits everything pretty well. Wouldn't be able to add a sponge to it, but I have a holder with suction cups on the inside of my sink for the sponge and keeps it out of sight, so it works for me. But if you have a stuff at your sink, it probably wouldn't. Though if you like the design (which is very nice), you could always use two, one on each side of the faucet. I also returned one because even though the extra container could hang on the outside, it was short enough and everything kept falling out of it. This taller one works much better...but again, it too is somewhat limited on size and storage. I much prefer everything organized and in its place, and this provides that.

Great little sink organizer!
Color: Black
This is a lovely addition to my kitchen sink to handle all of my dishwashing tools. And I really like the DE base to catch all the drips and water drainage. The separator in the middle is moveable so you can determine how big or small you want the partitions. It was packaged very nicely and came with stick on feet to protect your countertops or sink edge. Highly recommend if you were looking for something this functional.

Nice Product
Color: 2 Tier-Black, Color: 2 Tier-Black
Super Handy and So Stylish — A Must-Have for Any Kitchen! I’m really impressed with the Sinnsally Kitchen Sponge Holder! It’s simple, practical, and makes keeping my sink area neat so much easier. The 2-tier design is brilliant — the top shelf holds my sponges perfectly, while the bottom area keeps scrubbers and brushes organized and easily accessible. The stainless steel looks sleek and modern, and it has held up beautifully with daily use. Water drains well so everything dries quickly, and cleanup is a breeze. No more soggy sponges sitting around! Installation was quick and easy — it fits nicely right by the sink without taking up too much space. This little holder has made a big difference in keeping my kitchen tidy. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a clean, organized sink area with a touch of style!

Great space saver
Color: 2 Tier-Black
I love how this makes my sink so much more organized. For me, it holds a 20oz dish soap, a dish spray, 2 S.O.S. pads, 2 sponges, a steel wool scrubber, a bottle brush, a Stanley cap cleaner, and a sink stopper. I could still fit more if I wanted to. I can move the tall brush holder to whichever side I want, as well as the divider. It was super easy to put together, and functions well by draining all the drips right into my sink, instead of behind it. The black looks great and matches my kitchen well. This organized is built well and keeps mynsink area tidy and hygienic.
