Philodendron Narrow 'Jungle Boogie' Variegated

A chimeric variegated mutation of Philodendron 'Narrow' — the cultivar also known as Tiger Tooth or Jungle Boogie, a distinctive philodendron of uncertain but likely Florida horticultural origin known for its long, narrow, deeply serrated and wavy-margined leaves that create a bold, jagged, jungle silhouette quite unlike the smooth-edged leaves of most collector philodendrons — in which a spontaneous chimeric mutation has introduced irregular cream, yellow, and white variegation across the deeply serrated leaf surface. The base plant's defining character is fully retained in the variegated form: the elongated, narrow leaves with their characteristic heavily toothed and undulating margins, carried in a semi-self-heading to climbing arrangement depending on the support provided, with long aerial roots and dense, vigorous growth. The chimeric variegation plays out across this distinctive leaf form unpredictably — sectors and marbling of cream to pale yellow appearing against the deep glossy green ground, with no two leaves producing the same pattern — and the combination of the jagged, serrated leaf silhouette with bold pale variegation creates a plant of considerably more visual complexity than either the standard green Narrow or a smooth-leaved variegated philodendron would produce independently. As a spontaneous chimeric mutation rather than a stable tissue-culture-derived form, the variegation is inherently less predictable than TC Ring of Fire — individual plants may show highly variegated leaves followed by greener ones — and the instability is part of what makes each specimen botanically unique. A vigorous grower by the standards of chimeric variegated philodendrons.

Bright indirect light is critical — the chimeric sectors require more light than fully green tissue to sustain plant metabolism, and consistent good indirect light is the primary factor in maintaining variegation expression and preventing reversion toward green. Avoid direct harsh sun, which scorches the chlorophyll-poor sectors. A moss pole or climbing support encourages larger leaf development and the most vigorous upward growth. Allow the top 1-2" of medium to dry between waterings in a chunky, well-draining aroid mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir. Humidity of 55-70% supports the best growth and cleanest leaf emergence. Maintain warm temperatures between 65-82°F. Toxic to humans and pets if ingested.

Great ball for heavy chewers
Style: Assorted Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
Great toy for my Doberman. She chews through tennis balls in about 15 minutes but these are very durable. She likes to chase them but also just chew on them.

My dog loves glowing fetch at night!
Style: Glow Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
Fantastic. Sturdy. My dog loves them Glow in the dark is great for fetch at night. I keep a flashlight with me because the glow doesn't last really long. But they charge very quickly and are really bright.

Indestructible
Style: Fetch Balls (Pack of 2), Size: 3 inch
These balls are indestructible! We have a lab and a lab mix and they CANNOT damage these balls. They love them for fetch and to just chew on them (slightly squishy, but NO damage). Best toys we have bought for them.

Great trial set. Just be careful throwing the orange one!
Style: Assorted Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
Blue isn't that easy to see in the yard White charges with bright light/UV and is truly a game changer for night-time fetch. Both dogs clearly favor it. Orange is easy to see in the grass at day They're 3 different weights as well, so double trial. I prefer medium for my big dogs, though light performs well too The orange is HEAVY and unyielding. Do NOT throw it with a ball thrower. It could damage your house or knock your dog out. Seems tough though.
