CERTIFIED ORGANIC SEED, 1 packet (25 seeds)

Capsicum annuum (80 days)

Pizza Pepper is a standout for gardeners who love thick-walled, ultra-juicy peppers with just a hint of heat. Mild enough to eat fresh, yet lively enough to add interest, this pepper delivers crunch, flavor, and versatility in every bite.

The sturdy 24" plants produce an abundance of succulent 3–5" peppers that shine sliced onto homemade pizza, grilled on the BBQ, tossed into fresh salads, or stuffed and baked. Juicy and crisp enough to eat out of hand, this is the kind of pepper you’ll keep nibbling straight from the garden.

Why gardeners love this pepper

  • Exceptionally thick-walled, crunchy, and juicy

  • Mild heat with flavor—no fire

  • Highly productive plants with generous yields

  • Versatile for fresh eating, grilling, stuffing, and cooking

Heat level: Mild with a gentle kick
Best use: Fresh eating, pizza topping, grilling, stuffing
Good for: Gardeners who love crisp, juicy peppers
Not ideal for: Those seeking hot or fiery chiles

Growing Notes

Start seeds indoors about 8 weeks before transplanting. Sow ¼" deep in shallow flats. Days to emerge: 10–25 days. Pepper seeds germinate slowly in cool soil; maintain soil temperatures of 70–90°F for best results.

When two sets of true leaves appear, transplant seedlings into 2" cells or 4" pots. Grow on at about 70°F during the day and 60°F at night. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost, once soil is warm and weather is settled.

Space plants 12–18" apart in rows 24–36" apart. Full sun. Moderate water.

Not as tough as the salmon.
We have the salmon from the same manufacturer and it has endured as few other dog toys have. Unfortunately, the squirrel lasted only two days before developing a ripped seam and began loosing stuffing. Maybe a defective toy based on other reviews.

Pretty durable, ears not so much
Pretty good but chewed through the ears in just a few minutes. The body seems more durable. We have a goose/duck from this brand that has held up extremely well.

Another one bites the dust!!
Another one bites the dust. It looked like it was gonna be strong enough for our new puppy. We adopted a border collie who is about six months old. This was supposed to be durable. Lasted about a week. Might be good for older dogs. I wouldn’t recommend.
