A lesser-known but genuinely captivating species from Ecuador, Philodendron paloraense is a climbing aroid that has quietly built a loyal following among serious collectors. Its elongated, lance-shaped leaves carry a deep, lustrous green with a subtle texture and graceful form that feels both refined and wild. New growth often emerges with warm coppery or bronze tones before settling into its mature color, adding seasonal drama to an already attractive plant. It is not the flashiest philodendron on the shelf, but those who grow it appreciate its understated elegance and the way a well-supported, mature specimen commands a room. Still relatively scarce in cultivation, it remains a rewarding find for the collector who values botanical character over flashy variegation.

Light Bright indirect light suits this plant well. It appreciates good light levels to support healthy, vigorous growth and to bring out the subtle luster of its foliage. Avoid prolonged direct sun, which can cause bleaching and leaf scorch. It will tolerate moderate light but growth will slow and leaves may reduce in size.

Water Water when the top inch or two of the medium has dried out, then water thoroughly and allow excess to drain freely. Like most climbing philodendrons, it prefers consistent moisture without waterlogging. Good drainage is essential — soggy roots will quickly lead to rot and decline.

Humidity Prefers humidity in the 60–70% range or higher, reflecting its humid Ecuadorian forest origins. Average indoor humidity is tolerated but may result in slower growth and occasional browning at the leaf margins. A humidifier or placement near other plants helps maintain adequate moisture in the air.

Soil / Medium A well-draining aroid mix of coco coir, perlite, and orchid bark is ideal. This species appreciates a medium that stays airy and loose while retaining enough moisture to keep the root zone consistently hydrated. Avoid dense or compacting potting soils.

Fertilizer Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength every 2–4 weeks during active growth. Consistent nutrition supports the development of large, healthy leaves and strong climbing growth. Reduce feeding in winter when the plant's growth naturally slows.

Temperature Thrives in warm conditions between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from temperatures below 55°F (13°C) and keep away from cold drafts and air conditioning vents. As an equatorial species it has no cold tolerance and should be treated as a strictly tropical houseplant.

Pests Spider mites, thrips, and mealybugs are the most likely visitors. Inspect the undersides of leaves and leaf axils regularly, particularly during drier months when spider mite pressure increases. Treat at the first sign of infestation with insecticidal soap, spinosad, or a neem-based product.

Toxicity Toxic to humans and pets if ingested, containing calcium oxalate crystals that cause irritation and swelling of the mouth, throat, and digestive tract. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Propagation Propagate by stem cuttings taken just below a node, ideally with an aerial root attached. Root in water, sphagnum moss, or a moist aroid mix in a warm, humid environment. Cuttings typically root reliably within a few weeks under good conditions. Providing a moss pole or support structure encourages the larger leaf development this species is capable of as it matures.

NOt good... not great... horrible
Set name: Sublimation Printer
I’m thoroughly disappointed with the Brother Sublimation Printer and would not recommend it. Out of the box, the setup process was more complex than anticipated, with unclear instructions and frequent errors. The print quality was inconsistent, with colors often coming out dull or inaccurate, despite multiple attempts at calibration. I experienced frequent paper jams, which disrupted my workflow and wasted a lot of materials. The printer’s software is buggy and doesn’t integrate well with other design programs, making it frustrating to use. The connectivity options were unreliable, causing frequent disconnections and delays. Additionally, the printer is quite noisy during operation, which can be distracting and bothersome. The build quality feels flimsy and not as durable as I expected. The customer support experience was also poor, with slow response times and unhelpful solutions. I faced issues with ink usage, as the cartridges seemed to run out quickly, leading to higher operational costs. The sublimation prints didn’t have the sharp, vibrant quality I was hoping for, making my final products look less professional. The lack of clear troubleshooting guides added to the frustration. The printer’s design is bulky and takes up more space than I anticipated. Overall, this Brother Sublimation Printer has been a letdown in terms of performance, reliability, and ease of use. I regret investing in this product and would advise looking for alternatives.

Pretty good for the price.
Set name: Sublimation Printer
So far so good. I have been producing a fair amount of items to date. My only wish was that the colors were more vibrant with this printer and it's ink.

Inkjets have come a long way
Pattern Name: Printer, Style: ET-15000
Just a lot to like about this printer and nothing I don't like. Very capable for the price. I do mostly black and white printing, rarely print photos. (This will supposedly do a credible job of photo printing too but I haven't tried it). If you want professional caliber photo printing, you probably want the Epson 8550 which is similar to this, a bit more expensive, but does 6 color printing. If you are doing more like every day business printing the 15000 might be a better choice because it's built more for speed. The tank system means I can just replace the black because I use it a lot. The black ink tank is double size of the others and based on my experience so far, I think I'll easily get over a thousand pages on the standard-vivid setting which is very strong black but still relatively high speed printing. Given that the black ink bottles are under $30 I think the cost per page will be comparable to laser. The booklet/pamphlet printing can be complicated to work out with layers of PDF software and the Epson printer driver. But once you work it through, it's super capable. I've printed a lot of 12 x 18 double-sided for booklets and the paper handling has been flawless. (It can duplex automatically for 8 1/2 x 11 but for other sizes you have to manually duplex, which you can do by printing back/front or even/odd.) It's not as fast as a laser printer but it's pretty fast -- inkjets have improved so much.

Perfect Printer for My Small Business
Pattern Name: Printer, Style: ET-15000
I purchased the Epson ET-15000 for my crafting and apparel business and have been very pleased with its performance. The print quality is excellent, colors are vibrant, and the large ink tanks help save money over time. It handles larger print sizes with ease and has become an essential part of my workspace.

Nice large format printer which is what I needed
Pattern Name: Printer, Style: ET-15000
I make stained glass panels and needed a printer that I could make larger copies with. I also wanted one that I could manipulate my images with. This was my best option and I love the Eco-Tank printers. After reading the reviews I made sure to add a couple years of additional warranty for my peace of mind. Finding 13 x 19 paper that was affordable was a tough challenge. I found a bunch on FB marketplace and bought everything they had to offer. This printer was very easy to set-up. I just followed the instructions and then followed what was on my computer screen. At first I thought I would have an issue connecting to Wi-Fi but when it failed on the computer, I was able to go to the printer and do it from the control panel - Easy peesey. I have used it several times since filling, charging, and installing and everything works as it should. My husband has an Eco-Tank printer and I've wanted one since he got his. I love that the ink will last a very long time and that it will be cost efficient. I am not overly interested in photo printing so this was the perfect choice for my needs. The print quality is fairly good when comparing it to my old Canon and e that there are several paper trays and ways to make copies, especially the automatic feed and the larger scanner bed.
