10 Seed Pods - a mix of Purple, Green and Blue Kale

Grow them in the ground or in containers right by your kitchen! With Drop & Gro seed pod technology you get a great mix of beautiful kale that is easy to grow. Once you harvest, they will re-grow multiple times, so you can enjoy the freshest salad greens at home.
  • Multi-seed technology
  • Multiple Harvests
  • Easy to Drop & Gro
Good Dirt’s ‘Kale Force Salad Bowl’ is a multispecies, multi-seed cluster all-in-one grow pod. Our multi-seed technology allows for multiple varieties and multiple seeds in one easy-to-handle Gro pod that will give you fuller, healthier, more uniform plants. The seeds germinate and grow together instead of separately creating a beautiful mix that goes straight from the garden to your salad bowl. The Drop & Gro Salad Seeds can be grown in containers or in the ground. Once mature, you can harvest every three weeks by cutting back to 2-3 inches, plants will regrow several times for more fresh salad.

Ingredients

  • 6-10 Seeds per Gro Pod
  • Varieties Include a mix of Purple, Green and Blue Kale
  • Certified Non-GMO Multi-Seed
  • 100% Chemical Free
  • Pathogen-free

Growing Drop & Gro™ Salad Seeds

We suggest 3-5 Gro Pods in a 12″-14”container. Place seed pod on top of soil or potting mix if planting in a container. Use your finger and press to a depth of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Slightly cover with soil or your potting mix. We like watering in with a mister as a gentle way to get the soil moist. Once transplanted in the ground or in a container, let the soil dry out between waterings. Harvest when the leaves reach 6″ or more by snipping 2-3″ above the soil line. Regrow several times for repeat harvest. Stagger plantings to have consistent, non-stop harvests.

Great for chewers
Size: Large
I have bought these for the dogs (GSD/Husky/Golden) 4 mon-7yrs. All 4 dogs enjoy them and keeps the 2 puppies from chewing things they should not. Definitely worth the money for how long they have lasted as well. Have already ordered more.

Not as safe as it seems
Size: Xtra Large
I did like the look and sound of the all natural wood and coconut rope. However after 15 minutes of giving it to my dog there were rope fibers everywhere. Even though my research said coconut rope was ok for dogs in small amounts; my dog started throwing up. My cat also managed to get ahold of some of the strings and ended up choking. Even when I took the rope off and gave just the coffee wood stick; after just a few minutes of play my dog began coughing. This is just the experience that I had. All dogs are different. Just please don’t let your best friend play with it unsupervised

Do research
Size: Small
My pups love to shred things. This was a good toy for them to satisfy their need to shred things. My dogs are on the smaller side and I went with a small. I do encourage people to do their research and not leave this toy unsupervised. If your dog eats toys they shred this might not be a good toy for you. Coconut fiber can become impacted if too much is consumed. Unlike other reviewers I didn’t notice to much of a mess outside any other toy a dog might shred.

Not Suitable for Power Chewers
Size: Large
Coconut fiber toys aren’t ideal for heavy chewers. They shred easily, can be swallowed, and may cause choking or intestinal blockages. The coffee wood is a safe durable product and loved but my dogs. I wish I would have done more research before buying the coconut fibers chew.

Dogs love them, not long lasting
Size: Large
Our dogs ignored the toy for the first day or two, then immediately became obsessed, working on them for hours at a time. They did come with big cracks/splits in them. The first one it wasn’t a big deal, but the dogs pulled large slivers and chunks off the second within minutes of using it. Also, gigantic mess around the house, like letting them play with a stick. I plan to continue to buy since the dogs love them but I do think they are a bit expensive given the quality variations.
