These plants are native to tropical and subtropical Asia, and while they're naturally used to lots of rainfall, they can withstand moderate periods of drought, which makes them an ideal and forgiving houseplant.
Make sure your Lady Valentina gets bright indirect light -- while the Chinese Evergreen family is known for being low-light tolerant, this variety will lose its pink variegation in lower light. To keep the leaves bright and pink, bright indirect light or dappled sunlight will do just fine!
