- The leathery leaves grow 8 to 10 inches in diameter, with a hint of red. They have red veining, new growth has a bronzy-red tint, and some leaves will turn completely red in winter before they fall off. In late summer female shrubs produce clusters of fruit that resemble grapes (hence the plant's name) that start out green and ripen to purple.
- When ripe, the fruit is very sweet, providing tasty treats for people, birds and squirrels. You can make a delicious jelly or wine from them as well.
- There is no way to tell if you're buying a male or female plant. And the female sea grape needs a nearby male to cross-pollinate and bear fruit. You may want to purchase several plants to increase your chances of getting grapes.
- It can also stabilize sand dunes, and provide habitat for wildlife - including protection for nesting sea turtles from artificial light (street lamps, car headlights, outdoor house lighting). These are salt-tolerant native plants. Florida beach homes are the perfect setting for these plants - provided you have the space needed.

Great product, bad packaging

I love this sunscreen! I use it on myself and my child and it works very well. However, the spray nozzle on one of the cans is locked and it will not work. I have tried to turn the lock, lift it up, etc., to no avail. This item is also not returnable. $20 for 1 can of sunscreen is quite expensive.

Great product

Product is great with good coverage and ease of use. Much better than comparable products because it is very light feeling and doesn't leave a heavy or sticky residue on your skin. Perfect protection for anyone who burns easily or fair skinned.
However I paid for the extra rushed 3 day shipping and it was delayed and I wasn't reimbursed the extra shipping charges even though it arrived 6 days later.

Save your money- don’t buy

Purchased this for our trip to Mexico. At two cruise ports we were doing a combination snorkel and pool day. I got this sunscreen because it was reef friendly and came with two bottles. Both bottles were IMPOSSIBLE to spray. You could not sunscreen yourself because you had to hold the bottle just right, push down with extreme force, and have your fingers place very specifically on the lid. My 13 year old and husband couldn’t even use the bottles. I did figure it out so I had to continually sunscreen everyone in the family. No one in my family has sensitive skin, but we all ended up with a fine rash after using this sunscreen. On days prior we used another brand and no one had a problem. We also reapplied often (every 60-90 min) and we still got pretty burnt. Maybe we got a bad batch…

Spray Cap doesn’t work

Very annoyed- first use and the cap is stuck and won’t spray unless you fiddle around with it and twist it back and forth a few times in and out of the locked position and even then you have to mash down on the button SUPER hard for it to spray. Super weird, never had this issue with any spray product before. Very annoying and nearly impossible to spray yourself with all it takes to get it to work!
