Delphinium is suitable for zones 3-7 and is a tender perennial usually lasting only three years.

When starting in pots Delphinium will germinate at a much higher rate if you cold treat the seeds first.   When cold treating mix your packet of seeds with 1/4 cup of moist sand and store inside a baggie in your refrigerator (not freezer) for 30 days and then sow.

These delphinium require light to germinate so sow on the surface on your pot and lightly dust with vermiculite or sand. These are slow growing and while they will flower slightly in their first year they flower profusely in years 2-3 throughout the spring and summer.

We find that here in hot and humid zone 7 it helps to lift them in late fall of year two, re work your garden bed, and then replant them. After year three they will stop flowering and eventually die off.

All spikey flowers, such as foxglove and delphinium, are slightly toxic.  Some, such as foxglove, do become more potent right before the flowers go to seed.  This is a natural defense mechanism to keep deer and rabbits from eating them, but care should be taken around small children or pets who might eat a large quantity of flowers from your garden.

Size: 4x9.5inch
First, the sizing is absolutely perfect for these projects. Instead of wasting large sheets and having to cut them down, these pre-cut sizes save a ton of time and effort — and most importantly, reduce paper waste. The quality of A-Sub paper has always been excellent: it holds vibrant colors beautifully, releases ink consistently, and produces crisp, sharp designs. Both of these sizes continue that tradition. I’ve noticed my images transfer smoothly and evenly every time, whether I'm working on ceramic mugs or glass tumblers. In terms of value, these smaller sheets are definitely worth the price. You get professional-quality results without using more paper than you need, which in the long run saves money and materials. Overall, I highly recommend these A-Sub sublimation papers for anyone looking to streamline their mug and tumbler production. They’re efficient, reliable, and a great investment for any sublimation business or hobbyist. - send me stuff to review.

Best Choice for Sublimation Paper
Size: 13x19inch
I'm just a beginner but have been doing sublimation for about a year. Of all the papers I have tried, A-Sub is by far the best for color transfer and ease of use. I also use A-Sub for my photo printing. I am now a firm believer in their products and don't see changing.
