This annual grow into a stocky bush, about 3' tall and 4 5' wide. Sticky and mildly smelly leaves, beautiful flowers and mysterious hooked pods. The pods start out green, and at maturity the flesh falls off revealing a woody and downright alien claw within. As the claw dries, it splits into 2 4 sharp hooks, and reveals the seam of seeds protected inside.

The seeds are edible (like a sunflower kernel) and the young green pods can be eaten in a similar fashion to okra.
