ONLY SEEDS ARE EDIBLE

Grown by Field Goods Farm in Boise, Idaho without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.

This breadseed variety has pale pink flowers, with a few random red blossoms poking through, that are mostly grown for their highly ornamental seedheads and edible seeds. These do not hold as cut flowers and are best enjoyed in the garden. Seedheads can be used fresh or dried for beautiful arrangements and are often seen in fall wreaths. Each seedhead can have thousands of seeds packed in there so it is easy to fill the spice cabinet and enjoy for winter baking.

Flower seeds tend to have lower germination rates than vegetable seeds, please plan accordingly.

FROM THE FARMERS

Starting poppies can be a little tricky in the north because they really want to be direct seeded but need to be surface sown and have a very long germination period. We have had success creating a patch that self-seeds so they can get cracking as soon as the snow melts or getting the seeds in as soon as the ground thaws. They like cool temperatures and once they take, we always have beautiful blooms, although short-lived. We grow these for the pods which decorate our gift wrapping on local orders, create dried arrangements in the winter months, and are just the coolest thing to have coming up in the garden.

Easy Read with good case studies!!
Format: Paperback
I had to purchase this for my Advanced Pathophysiology class in my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. It is very easy to understand and have pretty good case studies. I like that the CD that accompanies the book goes into some detail in explaining the cases further and the disease processes without giving you the answers to the questions. It stimulates one to think!! Once this class is over I will go back from time to time to review!!

Helpful
Format: Paperback
This is a nice compliment to other classroom instruction materials. I am teaching an advanced pathophysiology course in a nurse practitioner program. This book is very helpful for students to put together the concepts of patho with the clinical setting. Will use these for in-class group assignments. Case-studies are thorough and offer a variety of different disease processes to choose from. It certainly does not offer a case study for every possible disease or clinical scenario, but does cover most major areas and enough variety in my opinion. Should be helpful in reinforcing the clinical significance of some difficult to understand concepts. I would recommend this text to course instructors.

Good book!
Format: Paperback
Very helpful book for pathophysiology. The CD not only gives you answers to the case studies but gives you clear details of the clinical Pathophysiology of a particular disease. Definitely recommend it to students going for their Master's degree!
