Sweet Betsy Trillium (Trillium cuneatum)
Trillium Family

This is one of the easiest to grow and largest of the sessile Trillium.  Sessile Trilliums have flowers that are flush to the leaves (Trilliums don’t actually have true leaves–leaves are technically large bracts). Naturally found in rich woodlands, this trillium will thrive in shade to part shade in organically rich soil. When happy, large colonies will form both through underground rhizomes and seed dispersal. Seeds are ant dispersed, like many of our earliest blooming plants, and take ~7 years to flower. Maroon flowers are large and are followed by even larger purplish pods filled with dozens of fleshy seeds. Leaves have beautiful silver, dark & light green mottling. The leaf pattern is highly variable and provides considerable interest to a colony of Sweet Betsy. These are grown in “nurse beds” in our woods. Plants are allowed to self sow and are grown in situ. Larger specimens are harvested in the fall. Limited availability each spring.

Fauna: Flies, beetles, ants
Seeds: Large fleshy purple capsule full of seeds that are ant distributed

Works
Size: 8.5"x11"
Works great for sublimation. Get plenty of sheets. Great value for the price. The paper is pretty thick and seems to hold a good amount of ink without smearing.

My go-to sublimation paper for crafting
Size: 8.5"x11"
I've used several sublimation papers, and this one has worked really well for my crafting projects. The colors transfer bright and vibrant, and the images come out crisp with good detail when using the proper sublimation printer and ink. The paper feeds smoothly through my printer and feels like a good quality weight—not too thin and not overly thick. I've used it for tumblers, keychains, and other sublimation projects, and I've been happy with the results. I also appreciate getting 110 sheets in one pack because it lasts a while, especially when working on multiple projects at once. Overall, this is a reliable sublimation paper that gives consistent results and is great for crafters or small business owners.
