Planting Instructions:

Soil Preparation:

Choose an area with heavy, well-draining soil that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight each day. Remove weeds, large rocks, and litter from the planting area. Leave small weeds and dead grass, they will enrich the soil when turned under. Spade or till the soil 8-12 inches deep. Loosening the soil will help the plant establish strong roots.

Plants grow best in soil with lots of organic matter. You may optionally add fertilizer or organic material such as compost, leaves, or rotted hay to mix into the soil at this point. For small gardens, scatter 2-3 tablespoons of a complete fertilizer evenly and work into the top 2-3 inches of soil for each hill or 2 foot by 2 foot planting area. For larger gardens, scatter 2-3 pounds of a complete fertilizer for each 100 square feet of planting area. Work fertilizer or organic material into the soil and leave the surface smooth.

Form rows of soil beds 4-6 inches high and at least 3 feet apart. This formation of ridges will help with drainage.

Planting:

Peppers grows best in warm weather, with ideal temperatures of between 65F-80F during the day and nighttime temperatures of between 60F-70F.

Starting Indoors: For an earlier pepper harvest, you may optionally start planting indoors in containers 8-10 weeks before the last expected frost date in Spring, keeping seedlings at least 70F. Harden off then transplant seedlings outdoors in a sunny location when the soil temperature is above 65F. To transplant seedlings, prepare a transplant hole outdoors in a sunny location. Remove the plants carefully from the pots or flats and set them in the holes, burying some of the stem in the ground. Pack the soil loosely around the plant and leave a slightly sunken area around each plant to hold water. Water the plants after transplanting.

Directly Sowing: If directly sowing peppers outdoors, plant peppers in late spring when the soil warms to at least 65F. Fall planting is not typically recommended but is possible in climates with mild winters, with consistent 70-80F conditions, or if growing indoors >70F and using supplemental grow lights.

To plant, make holes 1/2 inch deep and spaced 18 inches apart down the rows of raised beds. Plant 2-3 seeds per hole. If choosing to thin to the strongest plant, determine the strongest and healthiest plant, then remove all other plants, narrowing to a single plant per hole. Cover seeds thinly with soil and water after planting.

Planting Depth: 1/2 inch
Within-Row Spacing: 18 inches
Between-Row Spacing: 3 feet

Care During the Season:

Watering: Water the plants deeply, soaking the soil to a depth of 6-8 inches, once to twice a week. If there is no rainfall, water 3-4 times a week. Sandy soils may need to be watered more often than heavy clay soils. Mulching around plants can help retain moisture.

Weeding: Keeping plants weed-free improves production. If plowing or hoeing, do not dig deeper than 1 inch to prevent from cutting the feeder roots.

Fertilizing: Once seedlings are established, 2-3 weeks after germination, you may optionally apply 2 tablespoons of a complete fertilizer around each hole, or 1-2 pounds per 100 square feet, without letting the fertilizer touch the plants. Optionally, continue fertilizing every 1-2 weeks as plants grow. Water plants after fertilizing.

Insecticides: Insecticides may be used to protect plants. Bt-based insecticides and sulfur are organic options that can be used for prevention. Sulfur also has fungicidal properties and helps in controlling many diseases. Before using a pesticide, read the label and follow cautions, warnings and directions.

Diseases: If spots or mold appear, treat plants with an approved fungicide. Neem oil, sulfur, and other fungicides may be used. When using fungicides always follow label directions.

Harvesting:

Bell peppers are ready to harvest when they reach their full size, about 3-4 inches long. They can be picked green or allowed to ripen to their mature color, such as red, yellow, orange, or purple, depending on the type. Peppers left to ripen fully on the plant will develop sweeter and more complex flavors. To harvest, use scissors or garden shears to cut the pepper from the plant, leaving a short stem attached to prevent damage.

Not as good as pure copper, but maybe good enough
Size: 14AWG-50FT, Size: 14AWG-50FT
This wire is copper-clad aluminum, which means you sacrifice some conductivity for a for a less expensive conductor. This wire is very lightly clad with copper - the thinness of the copper coating is obvious from a casual observation (see image). I measured 4-wire resistance across the entire length (50') of wire - it comes out to 0.34 ohms on each lead. This is a bit less than double what you'd expect from an equivalent length of the same gauge of multistrand copper, so if you're planning on running a long length of this it might be prudent to pretend that you're working with a slightly smaller gauge than you actually are. That is exactly the approach I'm taking with it, and it works well for me within that context.

Great speaker wire
Size: 14AWG-50FT
I ordered this speaker wire to replace my speakers in my car. I highly appreciated that there are 50' included on this spool, it's perfect for rewiring the stereo speakers in a car (or house). The wire appears to be made well and is the correct gauge. The sound quality is great with my new speakers, and I am highly impressed. I recommend this speaker wire to others, it's exactly what I needed and has met my expectations for high quality speaker wire.

Higher resistance than expected
Size: 14AWG-50FT, Size: 14AWG-50FT
I like Nilight products, I really do, but this one isn’t as good as it could be. After reading other reviews I wanted to take a different test approach and measure the resistance of the whole roll. I thought this might explain the low rating of 5.6A at 12V. I believe my test explains this rating. First, you need to make sure you understand that this is copper clad aluminum. It is clear in the ad title but make sure you are good with that. The test consisted of me removing the entire 50 feet of wire from the spool to reach the other end. I then stripped back the end and tied the two together securely. Only soldering would have produced a more complete contact. I then tested the resistance of the roll with an Agilent U251B multimeter which gave the reading in the pic of .75ohms. That’s not much but compared to what I found on several charts that was high. The average resistance of 14 gauge 41 strand copper wire should be 2.63ohms per 1000 feet or .1315 per 50 feet. The wire tested 5.7 times greater resistance. Obviously aluminum will test with more resistance than pure copper but I was unable to find what those values should be. The insulation is thick and durable so abrasion wear shouldn’t be an issue if routed properly. The wire may still be great for your application but if you are considering pushing this wire to the load limit you may want to upsize to 12 gauge.

Best lights you can get for the best pricing!
Color: 5in Round LED Pod, Color: 5in Round LED Pod
I have had man different off road lights over the years for many different vehicles. Let me tell you about these 5” aux beams. I ordered these lights to go on my 2500 as ditch lights and I am beyond impressed! The lights showed up well packaged. When opening the box, the instructions where right on top and by far one if the easiest sets of instructions I’ve had for wiring diagrams. The lights were packaged and wrapped in foam all the way around to protect them from shipping. The wrapping of the lenses for scratch prevention was perfect. The included wiring harness was packed in a bag and laid out very easily for installation. The harness hooked to the battery and then to the lights with easy quick connects and had more than enough length to put the lights anywhere. Once they were mounted and installed I hooked them up to my aux beams switch panel with ease. Now for the lights! The brightness is beyond bright enough to see miles away! These lights will shine anything you could ever want to see. The spot flood combo work exceptionally well for all situations and darkness. The side shooter stretch them beam out to the sites and can see all the way across. The running lights tie in very easy with your turn signals for extra turn lights or running lights. Heavy duty is an understatement for the quality of these lights. I’m still running them after several months with no water intrusion and still as bright as the day I installed them. The price for what you get, is far beyond better than other top brands! I will be buying more of these for my next off roading set up!

Too big for a tiger, but works well on the fiddy
Color: 4*2.5in Cube LED Pod
Not as bright as the graph says they are, or maybe I'm not in a dark enough area at night. But they definitely are blinding. Were too big for my adv bike unfortunately, but they work good on my truck as ditch lights. Not too bulky looking like the cubes are and no wind noise that I can hear. Definitely lights up the wma trails and the side shooters are very helpful. I will note though that as soon as your hood gets dusty it becomes blinding from the inside side shooters though. so I painted the yellow lens cover on the inside sides and it helps a lot with the hood glare.
