This particular strain originated in Italy, so we are not sure if it also has the same resistance because we have not had late blight since we started trialing it, but it does hold up remarkably well to foliar diseases for an heirloom, both in the hoop house and field.

Transplant. Start indoors 6 weeks before last frost date, and plant deep, after risk of frost. Vigorous plants need to be staked or trellised. Prune suckers and diseased foliage until mid August. Produces beautiful, red, 10-12oz fruits that stay blemish-free.
