This clever little moisture meter makes checking moisture levels fun and easy. No more digging fingers in to the soil to guess if it's time to water.  No more dirt under your fingernails! The Crew Soil Sensor Moisture Meter makes keeping an eye on moisture levels easy, fast and mess-free. So easy to know when your plants are ready for watering again. Plus a great price too!

How does it work?

Simply slide the probe into the soil, press the sensor button, and the indicator on top will light up with what the moisture reading is down at the tip of the probe, with 3 levels

BLUE = WET > A reading of 60% to 100% moisture level.

GREEN
= MOIST > Around 15% to 60% moisture level (the happy range for most indoor plants).

RED = DRY > 0% to 15% moisture detected. Time to water (unless you want the substrate dry of course).

Swipe through the photos to see each mode lit up.

Leave it in one plant if you prefer, or just do the rounds checking everyone. No down-time required when shifting between plants. Just pop the probe in the soil and press the sensor for an immediate moisture level reading.

I find I forget which plant I've left it in - or where my son's left it in the house - so I ended up getting one sensor for each group of plants to make it as hassle free as possible. That way when I check up on my jungle I do a quick moisture check without having to hunt for the sensor. Easy peasy.

What size pots is it for?

The perfect smaller size for all your small to medium size potted indoor plants. Total length is 13cms and the probe measures 7cms long1.5cms wide x about 1mm thick, So yes, it's very thin, meaning the probe slides in easily for minimal soil and root disruption.

If you have hard, compacted soil (other than needing to repot), you'll need to slide a stick or knife into the soil to break it up first, as you don't want to force the probe in to the soil. The probe is also very smooth, helping reduce soil getting stuck to it when you put it in and out. For cleaning, just wipe clean if needed, avoid running it under water.

Does the soil type matter?

Yes, as if your potting mix is so super airy it barely holds much water (like bark-based mixes used for orchids and aroids), there won't be much for the sensor to sense! You will also get borderline readings sometimes when used in airier mixes, such as flashing between green and red when moisture's down around 15%. That can happen with any mix also though when you're in-between levels. Best used with fine to medium substrates.

Can you replace the battery?

Yep, sure can. It fits the CR2032 round lithium battery, readily available in NZ. It comes with one battery included. I'm not sure myself how long the battery lasts, but have been using a couple for my indoor jungle for coming up 6 months so far and still going strong.

What does it come with?

Nothing fancy. The sensor comes as shown in the photos, with the battery included. Definitely function over fashion at this price. Think Nokia 3310 not Apple iPhone. No fancy-pants packaging.

PS: If they still make the old Nokia 3310 my son is totally having that as his first phone. Texting and snake. What more could you want?

How do you set it up?

Before first use: Take the cap off the top, slide out the battery (included), and remove the blue battery cover. Slide the battery back in, pop the cap back on, and you're ready to go.

Excellent Value
I love these toys! I bought them for a litter of German Shepherd puppies for their first toys. They instantly swarmed the elephant and cuddled with it. It is their favorite toy to this day. I bought another set so they had another one. They play with everything except the ropes, since they unraveled them early on I threw them out. They have cuddled with them and played with them for almost 3 months. I wash the teething toys in the sink with dial soap, and the plush toys on regular cycle in the machine, multiple times per day since I bought them. They look brand new each time. Only the little hearts and stars split open, but that was my adult dogs' fault. I didn't realize she was reaching into their playpen and taking their toys. Our Rottweiler and bulldog just love the teething toys, which cracks me up. Basically, all the dogs like this kit, but they are pretty good about not destroying toys, at least not right away. They figured out I take them away when they do, so they do their best. I doubt they will hold up to any dog deliberately trying to tear them up (like any toy), so supervision is recommended.

Perfect grouping of toys for puppies
I have four eight week old Frenchie puppies and they definitely need some toys to play with and chew on. These are absolutely perfect. They're the right size for their little mouths and they have squeaks and little crinkles and all kinds of noises to keep them interested in the toys for quite a nice period of time. The price is excellent. And the size is perfect for them. It's a great value and if you're looking for something to occupy a puppy you can't go wrong with this

Skye's Absolute Favorite Ball! 🐾
Size: 1 Pack, Style: Ball
Hello, I am Skye! I am an Australian Mountain Doodle puppy, and my humans finally found a ball that can keep up with me! The Benebone Natural Rubber Dog Ball is officially my prized possession. Why I give it five paws: The Perfect Chew: It is made of natural rubber, which means it has this amazing, springy texture that feels so good on my teeth. It's super tough, but it still has a satisfying squish when I chomp down on it. Funky Bounces: Because of the rubber and the design, it doesn't just roll in a boring straight line. When it hits the floor, it bounces all over the place in crazy directions, which makes chasing it so exciting. Easy to Carry: The texture makes it really easy for me to grab with my paws and hold onto in my mouth, even when it gets a little slobbery during a long game of fetch.

So far this is the perfect alternative to other wobble toy feeders. Please make a bigger size!
Size: 1 Pack, Style: Pawbler
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought the Pawbler because the two most popular wobble treat feeders on the market are plastic, and one of my dogs just absolutely destroys those in no time because he bites them and throws them rather then nudging them and then he has plastic cutting him so I am forced to throw away a costly treat toy/dispenser. I thought maybe a rubber one would work out better. So far my dogs love it, it works well spitting out their kibble, seems to be holding up and is easy to clean and feels like a good weight, not a super flimsy toy. I would love to see it made in a slightly larger size, I think this current size is good for medium dogs. It holds just under a cup of small round kibble but I would like to see one that can hold more and is slightly larger in size. I have 4 german shorthaired pointers, my test subject for this toy is mostly my 70 pounder who bites the toys instead of nudging them and throws them across the room, so it is taking a beating. I think for him a larger size would be helpful in deterring that behavior but I also think this may be too small for larger breeds. Durability: So far this toy looks just like when I bought it. It has no punctures or scratches and unscrews without problem. We have only had it a week or so but we use puzzle/toy feeders to feed our dogs lunch every day so it is pretty easy to tell which toys won't last long. Obviously, I can't speak to long-term durability at the moment, but I can say that most toys similar to this end up already scratched or punctured in a few days, so this is already sturdier when compared to what I have tried before.
