Transform your garden into a soothing sanctuary with the Fragrant Flowers collection, a curated mix of native perennial plants chosen for their aromatic qualities, seasonal beauty, and pollinator support. Blending the refreshing scent of mint with the sweet, licorice-like scent of anise and the soft sweetness of vanilla, this collection creates a peaceful outdoor environment that also serves as a vibrant habitat for butterflies, bees, and other essential pollinators.

Ideal for part-shade areas with moist, well-drained soil, these plants bloom from spring through fall and help deter mosquitoes naturally with their mint-scented foliage. Whether you’re designing a wildlife-friendly garden, adding texture and scent to your shade border, or simply looking for a low-maintenance planting that brings multiple sensory benefits, the Fragrant Flowers collection offers both functionality and charm.

Included in this collection:

  • Virginia Mountain Mint (Pycnanthemum virginianum): Known for its refreshing mint-scented foliage and clusters of white flowers, this plant attracts a wide range of pollinators while helping to reduce mosquito activity in the garden.
  • Spotted Joe Pye Weed (Eutrochium maculatum): Tall stems support showy mauve flower heads with a subtle vanilla fragrance. A favorite nectar source for butterflies, bees, and beneficial insects.
  • Anise Hyssop (Agastache foeniculum): This versatile plant features fragrant, tubular flowers and leaves with a refreshing, licorice-like scent that attracts a wide range of pollinators, thrives in sunny to partly shady spaces, and is an excellent low-water, low-maintenance choice.

Key Benefits:

  • Fragrant flowers: Features calming mint, anise (or licorice), and vanilla scents that enhance the sensory experience of your garden.
  • Pollinator support: Attracts and sustains butterflies, bees, moths, and beneficial insects.
  • Natural mosquito deterrent: Mint-scented plants offer a low-impact way to reduce mosquito presence.
  • Three-season blooms: Provides continuous floral interest and pollinator activity from spring through fall.
  • Low-maintenance: Once established, requires minimal watering and care.
  • Deer resistant: Naturally deters deer and remains visually appealing throughout the season.
  • Pollinator-safe: Grown non-GMO and free of harmful neonicotinoids, promoting a healthy ecosystem for pollinators and wildlife.

Available in collections of nine, 18, or 27 plants to suit spaces of all sizes.

Planting Tips:

  1. Location: Choose a part-shade location that receives three to six hours of sunlight daily with moist, well-drained soil.
  2. Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season to help plants establish. Once established, they are drought-tolerant and require little maintenance.
  3. Maintenance: Minimal care required. There's no need to deadhead the flowers, as allowing them to go to seed provides a valuable food source for birds. Leaving grasses and stems standing in the fall provides shelter for fireflies and overwintering insects. If desired, cut back the stems in late spring after pollinators have emerged.

The Fragrant Flowers collection is a thoughtful and sensory-rich way to create a pollinator-friendly garden that balances natural beauty with ecological purpose. Let this collection bring fragrance, wildlife activity, and seasonal color to your landscape.

Neither bad nor terrific. A rehash of AC 2
Format: Kindle
I purchased the book hoping it would be something completely new with Ezio, a unique story told by the author that was unrelated to the series. Sadly, it wasn't. This book was great in refreshing much of what happens in Assassin's Creed 2 and some of the memory assignments you can do in Brotherhood (and perhaps Revelations too, though at the time of writing this review, I've only barely dug into Revelations). But because I knew what to expect, I wasn't sitting on the edge of my seat to read it. The one tidbit I didn't like was that it seemed the author sometimes used too many commas. It's minor, but I frequently had to re-read some sentences to ensure it wasn't a run-on. I do like that there's a glossary in the back for the Italian that's frequently sprinkled in. All in all, if you've not played Assassins Creed 2, this would be great for quickly getting caught up (though I'd recommend the game instead for the visual/aural experience) or if you need a refresher. Otherwise, this might be a bit dull since you'll know what to expect.

better than the game
Format: Kindle
Assassins Creed Renaissance is a fantastic read whether you have played the game or not. It follows the story of assassins creed 2 to the letter but also adds more story elements that help answer some of the games little questions that were left unanswered. It is also a great read for anyone who hasn't played the game as it requires no prior knowledge of the assassins creed universe. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a more in depth look at the game or anyone who just wants a good book to read.
