Growing

This sweet Indica dominant strain has a flowering period of 8 to 10 weeks, long enough to have a large yielding capability. She can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors and is a great choice for first time growers, or extract artists looking for the next big thing!

Indoor
Zkittlez Feminized is a low maintenance strain that is perfect for beginner growers, as she is so easy to grow. During the vegetative stage, she will remain short and when flowered stretch to 120-150 cm (47-60 inches). Applying plant training such as LST and topping will really enhance the canopy, making her a good strain for growers with limited height.

It is well advised to keep a good flow of air using multiple oscillating fans once plants start flowering, and be too vigilant of powdery mildew or Botrytis.

Outdoor
Zkittlez Feminized seeds turn into big plants when planted outdoors. We advise planting the seeds in Spring and using a 75-100 liter (16-22 gallon) fabric pot for the biggest plants possible.

The buds can become very thick and dense, so support is a must. It’s also important to keep an eye out for mildew and mold during the final few weeks of flowering.

Fungal resistance

Zkittlez Feminized can be quite prone to powdery mildew and mold, so it is advised to keep the temperature as close to 24 degrees Celsius (75.2F) and a relative humidity of 40%. A good air flow around the plants is essential to prevent any pathogens from affecting the plants.

Flowering time

Indoor
Indoor flowering time will vary from 56-70 days depending on phenotypes. Most plants are ready to harvest in 63 days. Growers who are looking for a fast finishing phenotype will find some amazing phenotypes to choose from.

Outdoor
Plants outdoors will be ready to harvest between the middle and end of October. It is also possible to plant clones outdoors in June and get a great bumper end of season harvest.

Yield

Indoor
Zkittlez Feminized is an easy to grow hybrid that is also a very impressive yielding variety. Commercial growers will benefit from the productivity of this strain, and can expect yields of 650 g/m² (2.1 oz per square foot), and when grown with hydroponics can increase yields to 800 g/m² (2.6 oz per square foot).

Outdoor
Outdoors, Zkittlez can grow huge, especially when trained from Spring time onwards. Yields of 1000 grams (35.5 oz) per plant are easily achievable. Growers who experience shorter Summers will still produce excellent results.

Plant height & structure

Like her name, she offers you a true chance to taste and see the rainbow. Zkittlez has thick and bulky flowers with green and purple colors, showing beautiful vibrant orange pistils in between. Plants will finish around 150 cm (60 inches) in height and grow wide and bushy.

Training

She reacts very well to being topped and tied down. To get the biggest buds possible, we recommend pruning the lower canopy one week prior to flowering. During the final weeks, the buds should be supported using a net or bamboo canes to prevent the side branches from toppling over.

Smell, taste and effect

Zkittlez has a distinct taste with notes of berries and lemon flavors. When properly cured, the Zkittlez adds a kind of sweet and sour funk.

The smell intensifies and releases some skunky characteristics. When lit, it will release a light, fruity and smooth smoke which is easy to inhale. A true charm is Zkittlez’ sweet-and-sour aroma that has hints of berry and lemon. For a true taste experience, the flavors are best brought forward during curing.
