About The Monster Squad (1987)
The Monster Squad (1987) brings together Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the Wolf Man, the Mummy, and the Gill-man in a love letter to Universal Monsters filtered through a kids' adventure lens. The film was co-written by Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, Predator), whose signature blend of action and quotable dialogue shines through—particularly the immortal "Wolfman's got nards!" line. Despite bombing at the box office, The Monster Squad found passionate fans through cable television and home video who recognized it as a genuine classic.
