Thrust herbicide offers excellent selective control of annual and broad-leaved weeds in grassland and amenity grassland. Highly effective on Ragwort.

Unique combination of two active ingredients and use in amenity or agricultural grassland make it extremely versatile and effective

Weeds Controlled: Thistle, Creeping (plants up to 50cm high), Broad Leaved Dock, Curled Dock, Common Ragwort and more

Key points

  • Excellent for controlling a wide range of annual and perennial broadleaved weeds
  • Unique combination of active ingredients 2,4-D, dicamba & dimethylamine salt
    • Achieves the strong kill over the wide weed range & particularly ragwort
  • Grass safe
  • Can be applied via a knapsack or boom sprayer
  • Rain fast in 12 hours
  • Grazing animal exclusion: 14 days
  • Two applications allowed per year
  • Thrust Weed Killer kills weeds not grass

Thrust weed killer also gives control of the following weeds:

Susceptible: Thistle, creeping (plants up to 50 cm high)

Moderately susceptible: Buttercup, creeping, Ragwort, common, Dock, broad-leaved, Dock, curled

Use in a Tank Mix

  • Enhance and maximise weed control by using Thrust in a tank mix
  • Mix with Hurler for improved efficacy
    • Adds better control of docks, buttercup and cow parsley, among others
  • Supercharge this tank mix by adding Validate as an adjuvant.

Application notes and guidance:

  • Ragwort is best treated in rosette stage before flowering & when growing vigorously
    • Ragwort control is usually carried out in spring or autumn
    • Spray before ragwort flower spikes start to grow
    • Always allow a minimum of 14 days before returning grazing animals
    • All ragwort should have died back totally or removed prior to returning livestock
    • This can often take longer than three to four weeks
  • Ideally apply when majority of weeds are small and at a seedling stage
  • When spraying either with a knapsack or tank spray - use a medium spray
  • Pet safe once dry
  • Allow at least 4 days after application before rolling/mowing
  • If recently mown or grazed - allow 2 weeks before applying Thrust weed killer
  • Thrust herbicide will kill clover - do not apply if clover is an important part of the grazing land
  • Only use on grassland established for 12 months

Distribution Options:

Knapsack Sprayer

Use 90ml Thrust in 5-10L water covers 250m2

Or in a tank mix (better for dock control) 60ml Thrust + 25ml Hurler in 5-10L of water to cover 250m2

Farm, ATV, Tank Sprayer

Thrust weed killer can be applied at 3.5L/ha in 200 litres of water per hectare

As a Tank Mix for a boom sprayer combine 2.5 L of Thrust with 1.0L of Hurler in 200-400L of water to cover 10,000m2

Why it is important to use a herbicide like Thrust where ragwort and grazing animals are present?

  • Ragwort plants can kill horses and grazing cattle if eaten
  • It is difficult to spot ragwort poisoning in livestock before it is too late
  • In one season a single ragwort plant can produce over 10,000 seeds which can spread quickly
  • Seeds from a plant can germinate over many years, increasing infestation levels
  • To eradicate, reduce the plants presence. It is vital to have a regular control programme for ragwort
  • Livestock will not usually eat ragwort while it is growing, but when it has been cut and has wilted it becomes much more attractive and palatable.
  • Common Ragwort will need to be sprayed over a minimum of two years in order to get complete control
  • Failure to control ragwort on your land may lead to prosecution

Bracken Control

Treating bracken with Thrust

The specialist choice for bracken control used to be Asulox, which was a selective weedkiller meaning it will control the bracken without killing surrounding grass. Unfortunately, this product is no longer in production. For agricultural and amenity grassland use going forward, the selective weedkillers Thrust is best used in a tank mix to treat the bracken when it is at waist height or just below. Treat when the fronds (leaves) are at full extension and before senescence (browning of the fronds and natural die back) to ensure the best effect from the treatment.

My Designs? Sublime. The Paper? Sublimation Perfection.
Size: 8.5"X11"
Prints clear, presses clean, and never lets me down—unless I’m the problem (which is often). I keep this stocked like toilet paper. You don’t want to run out mid-project.

This A-SUB sublimation paper is a great quality. I have been using it for many years and have had absolutely no issues. I use it with an Epson 2780 inkjet printer. I have never had a jamming issue or smudging.

Happy to find a seller that carries the 120
Size: 8.5"X11"
I’ve been doing sublimation since May 2025. I have tried a variety between 105, 120 and 125. I’m not exactly sure why 120 ASub it is becoming harder to find . I absolutely love it. When I make my stainless steel tumblers, my colors pop more with 120.

Great Sublimation Paper – Perfect for Mugs
Size: 8.5"X11"
I purchased A-SUB Sublimation Paper 8.5x11 Inch 120GSM and I’m very happy with the results. The colors transfer beautifully. I used it for sublimation mugs and the print came out vibrant, sharp, and very professional-looking. No fading, no dull colors. I also tried using it for a cap, but the issue was not the paper — my cap heat press machine didn’t perform well and the transfer failed. For mugs, this paper works perfectly. Highly recommend for mug sublimation projects.
