Personalize each card with your names and a thank you message. Specify a color scheme to match your event colors.

A full seed list and planting instructions are on the back of each card. To grow the plantable seed hearts, simply cover with a thin layer of soil, keep damp, and watch them grow! Attach the hearts with removable and repositionable glue dots - include them with your order using the drop down menu. When your guests remove the heart, an additional word or message can be revealed below. A sweet touch! Let us know if you would like to add that to your card by leaving a note/special request with your desired wording at checkout.

Recipients have 12-18 months to plant their hearts. Herb seed paper can be started inside.

Choose the type of set that fits your budget or desire for DIY. The drop down menu lists options and costs.

Option 1: Self-Print cards.
We send you the seed paper hearts and a custom, personalized PDF template you can use to print the cards on your own, using your own cardstock. Optional glue dots to attach the hearts. Customize and personalize your template by leaving a note/special request with your desired wording and accent color at checkout.

Option 2: Printed cards.
Cards are printed on 110lb white cardstock with nice, crisp edges for a professional look. Card corners are rounded. You can request them to be square by leaving a note/special request at checkout. Optional glue dots to attach the hearts. Customize and personalize your cards by leaving a note/special request with your desired wording and accent color at checkout.

Option 3: Pasted up cards.
Hearts arrived attached the the cards. Cards are printed on 110lb white cardstock with nice, crisp edges for a professional look. Card corners are rounded. CARD SIZE: About 3.5 x 5 inches, '4 bar' size. Hearts are 3 x 3 inch.

Red is standard, but you may request a different color!
We make all of the paper new and fresh to order and can make virtually any color. Just leave a note at checkout to specify the color of heart you would like.

....... PLANTING SEEDS .........
All orders are done on a made-to-order basis to promote freshness. Seeds are intended for planting when climate conditions are right - after the last winter frost - and may be planted through fall up until about 6 weeks before the first winter frost. Our seed paper has been tested and keeps 18+ months when kept dry and out of direct sunlight. We recommend storing it away from heart and humidity until it's time to use it. Annual herbs (such as basil) grow only the first season, but you may collect their seeds at the end of their life cycle once they 'go to seed.' Harvest those seeds and plant them again. Perennial herbs like lavender need 2 seasons for full growth then come back year after year. Parsley is frost tolerant and can survive mild winters, including snow, to grow again in the spring.

Please note, these plantable hearts are handmade, not commercially produced, and so they have all of the subtle irregularities that make handmade items so lovely. Seed inclusions, color, and shape vary slightly from piece to piece. Each is unique.

Good, Silly, Doggy, Reading Fun!

I've read all three of the Stick Dog books to my class and they've loved every one! Someone always has them at their desk now. This is a fun, easy to read story that's 140+ pages of some stray dogs plotting to get some hamburgers. The font is huge and the story is littered with illustrations so each page has at most four paragraphs, so not very daunting if you have a reluctant reader. The author's tone makes it easily accessible too. He talks to kids at their level, never down to them, and even manages to sneak in some higher level vocabulary in there at times! This book and its sequels could be the ones to turn any reluctant readers in your life into book hounds!

A Book About Friendship, Gumption and Happiness
Format: Hardcover
This book is an enthusiastic and inspired combination of stick drawings, challenging vocabulary, cheerful wordplay and shaggy dog, (literally), adventures. There is a tremendous sense of happy camaraderie among the doggy characters. The drawing is intentionally amateurish; the dogs are stick figures. Except there's more going on here than you might imagine, and the author manages to fit a considerable amount of expression and personality into the drawings. You get a sort of "less is more" vibe, and the young reader is drawn into paying more attention to the writing. That said, the simple drawings clearly illustrate what's being related in the text and so end up being amusing and helpful. Let's hear it for stick drawings. Think Picasso, but with more tails. The vocabulary is at a high but fair level - one dog doesn't speak to another, he "addresses" him. That's not outlandish, but it represents a real step up in the level of sophistication of the writing. The overall effect is that this is a book that encourages a young reader, ever so gently, to step up his or her game in terms of reading confidence and ability. Pretty nice for a stick figure dog story. There is word play and a great deal of clever conversation. But, there's also just a lot of silly, engaging dog stuff. The dogs tease each other, compliment each other, and play with each other. They have adventures, meet other animals, and explore things. There are set pieces, but a lot of the action just involves Stick Dog's bemused management of this gang of knuckleheads. The upshot is that the book is funny, calm and welcoming. It is sneaky in that it has charms that are not immediately evident, but that become clear as you read it. It's sort of like a stray dog that works its way into your home, (like Stick Dog himself). How cool is that.
