A purple fruit with very sweet flesh, ‘Purple Possum’ vines can be exceedingly productive.  This variety is ideal because it is self-fertile and the pollen is compatible with all other Passionfruit varieties.

Latin name - Passiflora edulis

Growing from a vigorous, leafy tropical vine, Passionfruit is a delicious tropical treat with an enticing aroma, and very sweet flesh with varying degrees of tartness.  It is said to taste like a combination of citrus, melon, pineapple, and kiwi.  The vine is native to South America and North Africa, and is commonly grown in tropical regions around the world.  We consider Passionfruit one of our favorite fruits, and the essence of tropical flavor.

You can grow Passionfruit quite easily by planting in an area with full, unobstructed sunlight, and allowing the fast-growing vine to cover a trellis, fence, or other structure.  The striking white and purple flowers are usually pollinated by bees, but hand pollination can sometimes improve fruit set and overall size/weight of the fruit.  Passionfruit vines usually fruit within a year of planting, and while the vines usually don’t live longer than 4 years, they can produce many hundreds of delicious fruit per season.

The edible Passionfruit vine doesn’t have any notable pests, but it is a host plant for several types of butterflies, the most common of which is the orange Gulf Fritillary.  If you see small orange caterpillars with black spikes eating the leaves of your Passionfruit vine, don’t worry!  As long as the vine is well-fertilized, it’ll outgrow the effects of the caterpillars very quickly, and you’ll be rewarded by native butterflies providing their pollination services.

When planting Passionfruit vines, make sure you have a sufficient trellis or structure for them to grow on.  A sturdy chain-link fence is ideal.  The vines can get very heavy when fully grown, and require pruning if you want them to stay manageable.

Our pup loves the cronch cronch!
Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 1)
I bought our 15 month old Coton several Chuck-It toys on an Amazon deal. He is incredibly playful, mischievous, and ball/toy obsessed, especially for anything that makes noise. He can also be very destructive so I love how durable most of their products are - they’re among our longest lasting toys and worth every penny. We have yet to take them to the dog park, but they’re a perfect size for sharing in play time. And they are keeping him busy at home - that’s a good thing. He loves investigating the crunchy-cronchy-crinkly sound which is a nice change from squeakers. It can withstand his destructive chewing well-being, gentle on his little teeth. I love that. Chuck-It is thinking outside the box with a variety of balls to keep dogs engaged! I do worry about the crinkle plastic inside because it is accessible because of the air holes and it feels a little sharp. So this will have to be an at home toy so we can monitor his play.

My dog loves it!
Style: Ball, Size: Medium (Pack of 1)
This crunch ball was a Christmas gift for my 65lbs fur baby. It’s now mid April and he still loves it. He loves running after it and chomping down on it. It is still in good shape despite all the chomping it’s gotta . I highly recommend. He goes back to this toy agin and again! Great buy.

Toughest ball we have found yet. Our doberman loves Chuckit! Balls especially the crunch one. He spreads all the balls and toys we have bought but these lasted the longest. The crunch and the glow in the dark are usually his pick but he has several different choices.

Good stuff with some minor caveats
Flavor Name: Beef, Size: 1.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dog generally loves these. They seem to be a good quality ingredients. I think he likes the taste, but do know that they have a very smoky smell. I don’t know how fresh jerky can be, but they do seem like a very good value for the money. Another brand sells dog jerky as human quality. And my dog also likes that. The other brand is much softer, and this brand, wag, is a bit harder. So perhaps, if you have an older dog or a dog with teeth issues, this might not be the best choice.
