Red Carpet Creeping Thyme, scientifically known as Thymus serpyllum 'Red Carpet', is a perennial herb that is often used as a ground cover. This low-growing plant is known for its vibrant appearance and ease of growth. Here's a detailed description:

1.

Appearance: As the name implies, Red Carpet Creeping Thyme features tiny, dark green, aromatic leaves and, in summer, it is covered with stunning, crimson-red flowers, giving the appearance of a red carpet.

2.

Size and Growth: This plant grows low to the ground, usually only reaching 1 to 3 inches in height. However, it can spread widely, between 12 to 18 inches, or even more, making it an excellent choice for ground cover. The plant spreads through a creeping habit, sending out runners that root and form new plants.

3.

Habitat and Care: Red Carpet Creeping Thyme prefers full sun but can tolerate some shade. It requires well-drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established, making it a good choice for areas that might not get regular water, such as rock gardens or xeriscaping.

4.

Hardiness: It's typically rated as hardy in USDA zones 4-9, which means it can survive a range of climates, from cold winters to hot summers.

5.

Use: Aside from being used as ground cover, it can also be used to fill in gaps between stepping stones, to cascade over walls in rock gardens, or even as a lawn substitute in small spaces. It's highly attractive to bees and butterflies, which can be beneficial for pollination in your garden.

6.

Fragrance: The plant has a pleasant, slightly minty fragrance when the leaves are crushed or walked upon. Although it is an aromatic herb, Red Carpet Creeping Thyme is usually grown for ornamental rather than culinary purposes.

Red Carpet Creeping Thyme is popular due to its beautiful red blooms, ease of care, and ability to thrive in a variety of conditions. As with all plants, it will do best with proper care and attention.

It's real!
Size: 2' x 3' (Sheepskin Pelt Patchwork), Color: Ivory White
Off white but totally happy. Even though it's wool, it doesn't itch and is very soft. The patches are few and not at all noticeable from front. Very thick and looks great!

Nice and fluffy, the color is a bit lighter
Size: 2' x 6' (Sheepskin Pelt Patchwork), Color: Light Brown
Pretty and fluffy. Wishing the color were a bit darker so it matched my decor better. It’s hard to tell what color you’ll actually get 🫤 Not ideal but doable.

Beautiful rug but smelly when you first unpack it.
Size: 2' x 6' (Sheepskin Pelt Patchwork), Color: Ivory White
Beautiful quality. Deep thick fur. The "patches" are noting more than where 4 or 5 inch splits, one at each end were stitched back together. I wouldn't have even called them patches. They are the same stitching as used to join the two pelts in the middle. The color is a very clean white. Being natural pelt, I was really expecting something a little more blond. I've bought New Zealand sheepskin several times before and I don't doubt this is Aussie or Kiwi sheepskin but I didn't notice this is processed in China before I bought it. Still, the only complaint I had was a strange chemical smell when I unwrapped it. It didn't smell like the tanning chemicals from previous pelts. But it's gone away after 3 weeks so I guess all's good.

Great valur
Size: 2' x 3' (Natural), Color: Gray Tipped
Soft and comfortable. Quality leather nsckrd. Genuine sheepskin. No off odors. I'm skinny and not on tailbone. Hoping this helps. The grey tipped is more of a bluish gray. Pretty but not s true gray.
