The leaves emerge a golden-yellow shade subtly streaked with green and then slowly matures to a rich dark green color. It’s just as tolerant as other Pothos varieties to various growing conditions, making it perfect for just about any space. Epipremnum aureum Lemon Top

Our Plant Hunter spotted an unusual sport on one of his Lemon Meringue plants. Instead of being variegated with darker green in the center, it was more evenly golden-yellow. He propagated and stabilized it over the last couple of years, and now we’re pleased to make it available to you!

Like other Epipremnum varieties, while it tolerates low light, it loves a bright spot and grows best within 3 to 4 feet of an unobstructed east- or west-facing window. It prefers average household temperatures and humidity levels (40 percent or more is ideal, but not necessary to be successful with this plant). Offered in our Wick & Grow self-watering system, you can ensure it won’t be over- or underwatered if you periodically refill the reservoir pot as it begins to empty. Keep it away from hot or cold drafts.

Note: This plant may have some natural degree of toxicity and may cause discomfort or illness if ingested. Additionally, exposure to the sap of this plant may cause discomfort to individuals with a sensitivity to it upon contact.
