Lewisia rediviva var. minor, often called the small-flowered bitterroot, is a delicate and visually captivating perennial plant native to western North America. This charming member of the Purslane family (Montiaceae) typically grows to modest heights and is distinguished by its slender, fleshy leaves and captivating flowers. The leaves form low basal rosettes, while the star of the show is the exquisite blossoms. In the spring and early summer, it produces an abundance of small, bowl-shaped flowers with petals that can range in color from shades of white, cream, to peach, often with a yellow center. The name "bitterroot" refers to the plant's edible and historically significant taproot, which has a mildly bitter taste and was a vital food source for indigenous peoples. Lewisia rediviva var. minor thrives in well-drained, sandy or gravelly soils and prefers full sun or partial shade, making it an ideal candidate for rock gardens and native plant landscapes, where its delicate beauty and historical importance can be appreciated.  Zones 3-7

Germination

Germinating Lewisia rediviva var. minor seeds can be achieved with these steps. Start by Use 100 grit sandpaper by placing seeds on sandpaper and gently rubbing the seeds in a circular motion. Next, prepare a well-draining seed-starting mix, preferably one with good aeration, or use a mixture of equal parts sand and peat moss. Plant the seeds on the soil surface, gently pressing them down without burying them, as they require light for germination. Water the soil thoroughly to ensure good seed-to-soil contact. To maintain humidity and moisture, cover the planting container with a clear plastic lid or plastic wrap, creating a mini greenhouse effect. Place the container in a cool location with indirect sunlight or under grow lights. Germination of Lewisia rediviva var. minor seeds can be slow and irregular, often taking several weeks to a few months. During this time, it's crucial to maintain consistently moist but not waterlogged soil. Once the seedlings have developed several sets of true leaves and are large enough to handle, they can be transplanted into larger pots or your garden. Ensure they have well-drained soil and receive full sun to partial shade. Small-flowered bitterroot is a delightful addition to rock gardens and native plant landscapes, and with patience during germination, you can enjoy its delicate and historical presence in your landscape.

Not as tall as anticipated
Color: Black, Size: Wheel-6 Panel
Definitely not 6 feet tall, more like 5 1/2. Very sturdy and the fabric is thick. Works well for what we're using it for.

Nice room divider!
Color: White, Size: 8 Panel
The white panels are a nice off-white color. shipped in perfect condition. Already assembled so set up was quick. We use them to separate a photo studio from the main entry. Easily covers a 6 Ft. opening to the room. They are a woven material with wood colored sticks to support the weave. They are about 6 Ft. tall at the top of the curved section but less at the hinged sections. Light and easy to set up and take down. We are straddling two different floors so the extended legs at the bottom make this easy. Not sure how to clean them but they look great so far!
