It is a perennial in zones 5b and above, but will act as a self-seeding annual in colder zones.

Lot # CO-OG-1055-2023: Grown by Circadian Organics in Ferryville, WI. Certified Organic. Tested at 54% live germination in February 2026, but includes some dormant seed, so direct seeding before last frost (but after last hard freeze) will raise germination rate.
