Helichrysum Monstrosum (Everlasting Daisy / Paper Daisy / Strawflower) is the most well-known and is probably the best of all the everlasting flowers. 

This variety produces SCARLET coloured daisy like-flowers of papery texture and appearance that reach up to 6.5 cm wide. 

Growing to around 1m tall, Helichrysum Monstrosum can cultivate and establish plants that grow well with little or no attention. The flowers bloom from mid-summer right up to frost; they prefer a full sun position and will do well in poor to average soils. They tolerate heat and drought conditions and can survive light frosts. 

The plants will bloom non-stop from ten weeks after sowing in the greenhouse and will continue to flower until frost gets them in the landscape. 

Everlasting Daisies make one of the finest subjects for bouquets, apart from being useful for beds and borders. They are also excellent dried flower; papery flowers give an excellent natural colour.

Sowing Instructions 

Sow in Spring on the surface in a seed tray, cover with cling wrap with few holes. Need indirect light & 22-25°C. Water with a spray bottle, Germinates in 2-3 weeks
