Direct seed 2" apart after temps stay above 40°F even at night, and thin to 6-12" at 2nd set of true leaves. Or, sow indoors 6 weeks before last frost date and transplant at 3 sets of true leaves. Harvest at stem junctions and pinch flowers to encourage growth. An excellent option for intercropping with tomatoes. Great for containers.
