Thatsit Balans | The Adjustable Knee Chair
The Thatsit Balans is an ergonomic work chair with a unique design. The chair invites you to lean in when focusing on a task, but it also enables you to lean back when contemplating your next great idea. Thatsit is adjustable, allowing you to find the setting that best supports you.
Thatsit is available in a natural or black finish and a wide range of upholstery fabrics and colors. The wooden parts are made from top-quality beech plywood from European forests. The plywood is treated through an iterative molding process where several veneer layers are combined and glued. Through the application of combined heat and pressure, the layers are given their characteristic shape, making our Thatsit stand out from the crowd. All wooden parts are flexible and strong, ensuring a sitting experience that is never static. For a beautiful finish, our plywood is covered with ash top veneer, manually sanded, and coated with water-based, non-toxic lacquers.

The Thatsit™ Balans® comes with a warranty provided by Varier. A warranty is only included on chairs purchased from an authorized dealer. After purchasing your chair, you need to register it on Varier’s website. Varier will then send you a warranty certificate.
To make a claim, you will need the warranty certificate and a copy of your receipt. The wood frame is covered for seven years. The foam, fabric, labor, and shipping are covered for five years. Normal wear and tear are not covered.
The Thatsit™ Balans® ships via bpost or PostNL depending on your region. Shipping within Europe is free of charge. For regions outside of the European Union, additional charges may apply.
The average delivery time for Thatsit is approximately 5 weeks. You will receive a track & code to follow your package once it has been shipped. The chair comes in a medium-sized box that weighs approximately 14 kilos (30 lbs). You may need to have someone around to help you move the box into your office. All the parts are protected to prevent any damage to your Thatsit™ Balans®.

Review Thatsit
The Varier Thatsit Balans chair is considered as one of the best kneeling chairs. It is composed of the highest quality components, and has the most functionality and adjustability. These features make it stand out of most other kneeling chairs.
The build is very similar to the Variable™ Balans®. The frame is a sled-based design and is made from multiple layers of beech plywood. This gives the wood more durability while also being lightweight. It is flexible and strong enough to deal with the frame being in motion all the time.
The beech plywood has a layer of ash veneer that is hand sanded and sealed with lacquer. All the padding is made from good quality polyurethane foam. The fabric is also carefully selected and of high quality.
How to assemble your Varier Thatsit Balans.
Active sitting can make a big difference. Our ergonomic office chairs and stools help keep your body moving, your blood flowing, and your mind engaged so you can be your full, beautiful self at work.
The Thatsit™ Balans® requires assembly. It comes in about 10 separate pieces and about the same amount of screws. The only tools needed for assembly are included in the box. I think it will take most people around 20 minutes to get the chair put together.
It is very important that you do not fully tighten any of the screws until the very end. If you fully tighten one screw, then there is a good chance that you will not be able get other screws to slide through the holes because they will not line up properly.

The characteristic winged back is a perfect spot to rest your elbow or turn all the way around and lean your torso against it for variation and new perspectives.
