The delicate purple flowers contrast beautifully with the silvery foliage and look gorgeous growing in containers, raised beds, or in-ground gardens. Sprinkle the edible flowers on cakes or salads for tasty, pretty culinary creations. An easy-to-grow, heat-tolerant herb, lavender should be grown in full sun and well-drained soil (on the dry side). We bought 2 of these because our suit rentals for our wedding didn’t come with full vests for the children (Men’s Wearhouse gives you bibs for kids), and we live in Texas, so we didn’t want the boys to have to wear a full jacket during the reception in the heat.
