The rubber material is softer than hard nylon toys, which gives me peace of mind that it won't damage his teeth during extended chewing sessions. It's still plenty durable but has some give to it that makes it safer. This toy genuinely keeps him busy and engaged. It helps redirect his chewing instincts away from furniture and other household items, and it seems to help with anxiety when I need to leave him alone for a bit. At $8.99 (down from $15.99), this is an excellent value for a durable, functional chew toy. What Could Be Improved: While it's marketed for all sizes from small to large breeds, I think it works best for medium to large dogs. Small dogs might find the large size a bit cumbersome. The bacon scent is strong initially, but it will fade over time with use and cleaning. Also, we all know it's a little... interesting looking haha. The Purple Power Chew My Dog Thinks Is His Life’s Mission
I bought this purple rubber bone hoping it would survive longer than the usual 10 minutes my dog needs to destroy a “durable” toy. Shockingly, this one is still alive and thriving. Honestly, I think it might outlive me. The material is tough enough for aggressive chewers, but still bouncy and fun, which means my dog is entertained AND my furniture gets a break. It’s the perfect size for medium to large dogs, and it keeps mine busy like he’s working an important full-time job. Better Than Most, But Still No Match for My Super Chewer
This is a decent chew. It’s made of a softer rubber material and has little to no odor, which I appreciate. It’s been about a week, and while it’s still technically in one piece, it’s starting to show some cracks and tiny puncture holes. Now, keep in mind, my 100-lb pit mix Scooby Doo is a full on chew and destroy hound. If it can be chewed, he’ll find a way to shred it to bits. This toy held up longer than a lot of others but still didn’t make the “indestructible” cut in our house. He likes it, but it’s not his top pick, probably why it’s still alive. Overall, it’s a good toy for the price. Probably not for extreme power chewers like Scoob, but it’ll hold up fine for most dogs and give you a little peace and quiet for a while. Do give it a try, Scooby Doo is a chewer in a class of his own, the fact that this has held up past a one 15 minute session is amazing in itself.
