About

Pierre Joseph Redouté (1759-1840) was a Belgian painter and botanist who is considered one of the greatest botanical illustrators of all time. He is best known for his stunning watercolor paintings of flowers, particularly roses, which were highly sought after by royalty, botanists, and collectors during his lifetime.

Redouté was born in Saint-Hubert, Belgium, and began his artistic career as a painter of porcelain. He later turned his attention to botanical illustration, and in the early 1790s, he began working for the French royal family, creating botanical illustrations for their gardens at the Palace of Versailles and the Château de Malmaison.

Redouté's skill as a botanical artist quickly gained him a reputation as one of the most talented and accurate illustrators of his time. He was known for his ability to capture the intricate details and delicate nuances of flowers, and his paintings were admired for their beauty, elegance, and scientific accuracy.

Throughout his career, Redouté published a number of botanical books and folios, including Choix les Plus Belles Fleurs, Les Roses, and Histoire des Plantes Grasses, which are still considered some of the most important and influential botanical publications of all time. His illustrations also appeared in a number of other publications, including the famous botanical magazine Flore des Jardins de l'Europe.

Nice pink, bigger than expected
Color: Rose Red
Bigger than expected, I bought four my niece, she likes it and I think once she gets some items in it and break it in. It’s a nice shade of pink and I really like the strap.

Great for the price
I'm really happy with this bag, especially for the price. The two pockets are nice and large enough to fit my kindle, so I was excited about that. The card holders built in to the bag make it easy to just take the few card you need without bringing a whole wallet.

Perfect Size
Colors are spot on. This is my second one to own, I love the size because it’s not too big, not too small. I can carry one of these bags everyday for about a year before any wear starts to show. The strap is beautiful and I have gotten compliments on it a lot.

Favorite Bag
I LOVE this bag. the bag is super cute. I have a toddler and the bag is constantly getting thrown around and so far it has held up well. The material is thick and the strap is great. The only thing that would make it better would be an interchangeable strap to accessorize.

Surprising amount of room!
I am so pleased with the interior space in the pockets of this purse. It's the perfect size to hold keys, phone, and lots of other junk a mom tends to accumulate! The only downfall is the lack of card-holder spaces...only 4 total slots. I purchased another small card holder apparatus to hold all of my necessities.
