Bloomsdale Spinach Planting Instructions

Sowing Instructions

DIRECT SOW AS SOON AS SOIL IS WORKABLE IN EARLY SPRING

Starting Indoors

Growing Tips

Bloomsdale spinach loves cooler weather and can even survive sub-zero temperatures if protected well enough.

You should plant your seeds as soon as the ground can be worked in early spring, alternatively you can plant spinach after the heat of summer has passed for a fall crop.

If you are lucky enough to live in a warmer southern climate, spinach can be planted in the fall to produce a harvest all winter long.

Culinary Uses

Spinach is a widely used vegetable. Use it fresh, or in soups.

Harvesting Crops

You should begin harvesting your spinach leaves as soon as the leaves grow large enough for eating. Start by harvesting the larger leaves towards the outside of the plant. You can also harvest the entire plant by cutting it near ground level. New leaves will continue to grow after harvesting.

Unlike most plants, the spinach leaves can still be used even if the plant goes to bolt. However, the flavor will be much stronger at this point.

Harvesting Seed

Spinach plants will easily cross-pollinate with other spinach varieties, so care should be taken to isolate spinach plants.

You will want to save seeds from numerous spinach plants to preserve the best genetic diversity. Do not save your seed from plants that tend to bolt early or have other health problems during production.

As the warm temperatures creep up and days get longer, spinach plants will start to bolt by sending up a flowering stalk. Soon after the leaves turn yellow, the seed pods will begin to mature.

Make sure to wear gloves when harvesting the seed pods, as they can become prickly. Strip the pods from the stalk by running your hands (with gloves) up and down the length of the stalk. Separate the debris from the seeds and save your seeds in a cool dry place.

Spinach seeds are viable for up to three years depending on your storage methods.

Moisturized heels out of the box
Color: Fuzzy Lilac Purple, Size: Regular
Work without adding anything to your feet, but there are extra nice if you wanted to add a moisturizer to you heel and not get it all over your socks. Worth the money!

A Staple in Skin Care Routine
Style: Milky Toner
This toner has become a staple in my skincare routine. I have sensitive skin and a lot of products tend to cause irritation or redness, but this one has been incredibly gentle from the start. My skin always feels soft, calm, and hydrated after using it. The texture is lightweight with an almost soapy feel at first, but it absorbs quickly and never leaves my skin feeling greasy or heavy. It layers well with the rest of my skincare and works great both morning and night. I also appreciate that it gives results similar to more expensive brands without the high price tag. Definitely one of the better affordable skincare products I’ve tried.

My Favorite Product in the Milky Line
Style: Milky Toner, Style: Milky Toner
This toner has easily become my favorite product from Thayers brand and all other brands. I’m very picky about my skincare routine, especially when it comes to products I use daily, and this one has completely earned a permanent spot in my routine. It feels incredibly gentle, hydrating, and soothing on the skin without feeling sticky or heavy. I love the ingredients, especially the snow mushroom and hyaluronic acid, because my skin always feels soft, balanced, and refreshed after using it. I’ve also noticed my pores looking smoother and overall healthier since incorporating this toner consistently. The formula works beautifully with the rest of the Milky line, and my skin genuinely looks and feels better when I use it regularly. I’ll absolutely continue repurchasing this product.

Hydration + glow without irritation!
Style: Milky Toner
I’ve been using this milky toner for a couple months now and it has quickly become a staple in my routine. The texture is lightweight but creamy, which makes it feel more nourishing than a typical watery toner. It absorbs really well into my skin without leaving and sticky or greasy residue. I haven’t noticed that my skin feels softer and more hydrated after applying it AND it layers so nicely with serums and moisturizers. One thing I really appreciate is how gentle it is on my skin. It doesn’t cause any irritation, redness or breakouts! I actually feel like it helps calm my skin on days when It feels a little dry or “stressed”. Overall, I think it is a great option if you are looking for a hydrating, soothing toner that fits easily into either a simple or more detailed skincare routine. I will 100% be repurchasing when I run out of my current bottle

This will make your face soft and glowy!
Style: Milky Toner
This is GOOD STUFF! First cleanse face, then I tried using both a cotton ball and a cotton round, but in the end, I put a small amount right on my fingers and massage into my face. It seems pretty wet at first, so I let it air dry for a minute before adding my moisturizer. My face really seems smooth and even has a glow to it, which is unbelievable to me! My face also feels very soft and hydrated (and usually has some dry patches).
