How to repot bonsai plants with new soil

  1. Remove tree from old soil and shake loose any excess old soil.
  2. Research each specific type of bonsai for more in depth pruning information. Prune any dead or diseased roots and allow the root system to reshape.
  3. Place the tree back in the pot and gather your bonsai potting mix. Backfill around the planting hole with the new sole.
  4. Press firmly but not too compact to replant the bonsai tree.
