🌿 Exotic Beauty Meets Hardy Utility
The Passionflower ‘Maypop’ (Passiflora incarnata) is a true gem of North America, an heirloom, open-pollinated native vine celebrated for its show-stopping blooms and tropical-style fruits. Despite its exotic look, this perennial is surprisingly hardy, even thriving in USDA zones 5–9. With its intricate, star-shaped blossoms and nutritious fruits, the Maypop is as ornamental as it is useful, perfect for trellises, fences, pollinator gardens, or naturalized landscapes.

Why Grow Passionflower ‘Maypop’?

🌸 Unforgettable Flowers – Each bloom is a stunning, alien-like display with purple and white filaments, bringing elegance and drama to your garden.

🦋 Pollinator Magnet – Loved by bees, hummingbirds, and especially the Gulf Fritillary and Zebra Longwing butterflies, which rely on passionflower as a host plant.

🍈 Edible Fruits (Maypops) – The egg-shaped fruits ripen to yellow and burst with tangy, aromatic pulp, perfect for fresh eating, drinks, or jams.

❄️ Cold-Hardy Exotic – Unlike tropical passionfruits, the Maypop tolerates frost and returns each year from its deep roots.

🌱 Easy to Grow – Strong climbing habit, drought-tolerant once established, and thrives in poor soils.

🌿 Planting & Growing Information

  • Botanical Name: Passiflora incarnata

  • Plant Type: Perennial, Heirloom, Open-Pollinated

  • Days to Maturity: 150–365 days (fruits appear in the second year in cooler regions)

  • Growth Habit: Vigorous vine, climbing 10–25 feet with tendrils

  • Sunlight: Full sun (best flowering and fruiting) to partial shade

  • Soil Needs: Well-drained, moderately fertile soil; tolerates sandy or loamy soils

  • Watering: Moderate; drought-tolerant once established

  • Zones: USDA 5–9 (dies back in cold winters but regrows from rhizomes)

🌱 Sowing Instructions:

  • Seed Prep: Passionflower seeds benefit from scarification and stratification. Lightly sand seed coat and chill in moist medium for 30–60 days before sowing.

  • Indoor Start: Begin 8–10 weeks before last frost in warm soil (70–85°F). Germination may be slow and staggered.

  • Direct Sow: In warm climates, plant directly in prepared soil after frost danger has passed.

  • Spacing: 24–36" apart; allow trellis or fence support.

  • Trellising: Strongly recommended, as vines can grow tall and sprawling.

🌸 Harvest & Use

  • Fruit: Pick when skins turn yellow and slightly wrinkled. Flesh is tangy-sweet, eaten raw, juiced, or made into jams and syrups.

  • Leaves & Roots: Traditionally used in herbal teas and folk remedies for relaxation and sleep support.

  • Flowers: Stunning for cut arrangements or to enjoy fresh in pollinator gardens.

💡 Growing Tips

✔ Provide a sturdy trellis or fence to support vigorous climbing.
✔ Mulch in colder regions to protect rhizomes through winter.
✔ Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms and fruit set.
✔ For better fruiting, grow multiple plants for cross-pollination.

🏡 Perfect For:

  • Pollinator & butterfly gardens

  • Cottage & permaculture landscapes

  • Trellises, arbors, and fences

  • Herbal tea and medicinal gardens

  • Fruit lovers wanting something unique

  • Gardeners in both warm and temperate climates

🌿 A Garden Showpiece with Purpose

Beautiful design, noticeably less wrist pain
Color: Right - Black, Size: Large, Color: Right - Black, Size: Large
-Packaging: Simply amazing. The packaging material was great and the box has a nice sliding mechanism. Thoughtful. The box comes with instructions, a bunch of QR codes on the box for more details, and a nice carrying case. -The item: Very low profile and gorgeous design. The item is made of durable material. The 'cushions' on the top side are very comfy, especially around the areas of the wrist that will carry most of your hand's weight. The bottom is designed so that your hand can glide along with your mouse with minimal friction (using with fabric mouse pad). -Uses: 1. Work: it is a must-have if you have an office job. I have been using mine for a few days at work and I feel much less pain in my wrist. 2. Gaming: It does get a while to get used to it, but after a while the movement becomes natural and you won't notice the Carpio Just like with using it for work, you will not feel wrist pain after long gaming sessions. I believe my aim in fps games got just a bit better while using the item. Or hey, sometimes my opponent is just not having a really good day. Cons: 1. A bit overpriced. It may have taken a lot of research and design to come up with the product, but I would have been a lot happier if I had paid just a little less for the product. However, it does beat the competition in both, design and comfort. 2. Using the Carpio is pleasant most of the time, as long as your hand does not leave it, but as soon as you lift your hand off the Carpio it takes too long to find the sweet spot again. The box says it would take two weeks to get used to using the product and I'm only in my first week. I think this will change the more I get used to using the product. 3. For con reasons 1 & 2 above, I think it would not be a good idea to have two Carpios (right-handed and left-handed) to use with the keyboard Overall, I do recommend this product and love using it so far for work and gaming, but I rated it 4/5 only because of how I feel about the price.

Elevates your wrist
Color: Right - Black, Size: Large, Color: Right - Black, Size: Large
This is a great tool. No wrist pain day 1. It elevates your wrist to level with the mouse so there’s no backward strain. Takes a little getting use to but well worth no pain.

It's hard af.
Color: Right - Grey, Size: Small, Color: Right - Grey, Size: Small
Edit: just realized Amazon sent me a left handed one! I got this one and the g2 or whatever with the strap. The g2 is great. This one is hard though. The edges of the rest thingy. And the edges in the middle where it splits are annoying. Idk if it's a difference in the rubber pads or what. Even if this works for wrist pain, it's not worth it for the palm discomfort.

Ergonomic and effective, but requires adjustment.
Color: Right - White, Size: Large
Bought this for improving wrist posture during long hours at the desk. What I like • The ergonomic design helps reduce wrist strain, especially during extended typing sessions. • The right-handed orientation is comfortable and natural to use. • High-quality build, feels sturdy and durable. What could be better • It takes some time to adjust to the unique design, especially if you’re used to traditional mice. • The size may not be suitable for people with smaller hands. • It could be a bit pricey compared to other ergonomic mice on the market. Bottom line: A great investment for improving wrist posture and reducing strain, but it might not be for everyone due to the learning curve and price. Perfect for users looking to enhance ergonomics, but consider alternatives if you have smaller hands or need a more budget-friendly option.
