Lettuce: Romaine - Parris Island Cos Planting Instructions:
Romaine - Parris Island Cos Lettuce can be planted in fall or spring. Direct sow 8 to 12" apart and 1/8" below the surface of the soil. The rows should be 12 to 18" apart. Make sure the plants are watered well during dry periods. If rainfall isn't regular, water plants deeply at least once a week or more frequently during times of drought. Because lettuce is shallow-rooted, it is important to avoid disturbing the soil around the plants when you are weeding. Mulch the plants with a layer of compost or straw to help keep moisture in the soil. The plants do best in full sun. Grow time is 85 days.
Lettuce: Romaine - Parris Island Cos Harvesting Instructions:
Harvest the lettuce early rather than late for the best flavor. If lettuce is allowed to grow for too long, it becomes bitter and tough. It is best to harvest in the morning or the evening. At these times, the leaves are crisp, sweet, and full of moisture. Lettuce can be stored for 5 to 7 days in the refrigerator in a plastic bag.

A beautiful and meaningful book!

I absolutely love this book! The illustrations are gorgeous, and the book does such a great job helping kids understand their feelings and how to handle them. It’s been so helpful for talking with my kids about their emotions in a simple, meaningful way. I love this book!

I really love this book and the beautiful whimsical illustrations. I love the way it identifies and affirms each emotion we/our children/grandchildren have - all the while turning us (and them) to faith in Jesus and God's constant loving care. I have bought it for my grandkids and am so glad to give this to them as a tool to help them understand things they are feeling and be able to express those feelings appropriately and know they are never alone!

LOVE it!

This is a Wonderful Book! I bought this book for our 4 grandkids, and when I gave it to my daughter in law she said the timing was perfect!!! It's full of beautiful pictures and every page rhymes to engage with your children. I highly recommend this book for Christmas, or a gift for any occasion. Sweet, faith-filled, timely

I preordered Any Day Emotions and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. My baby is only seven weeks old, but I already love reading it to him. I know it’s a book we’ll return to as he grows and starts to understand his emotions.
Debra Fileta beautifully weaves together emotional health and faith. The page about feeling hopeful especially touched me—it’s such a gentle reminder that God’s care is constant, any day and every day.
