Info: 25 ml (0.85 fl oz) Dropper Bottle
The oil drawn from the seeds of the Sweet Briar Rose (also called Rosa eglanteria, Rosa rubiginosa, or Rosa moschata [or Rosa Mosqueta, in Spanish]) has several properties making it a welcome addition to many people's skin care routines, especially to help moisturize and revitalize dry and/or dull looking skin, even out skin tone, and diminish the look of age spots, wrinkles, or other signs of aging.
Product Notes:
A lightweight oil which penetrates the skin easily and gets absorbed very well, a little goes a long way, rosehip oil is suitable for all ages and skin types.
Rose hip oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamins A and C and other nutrients, which can help soften, moisturize, brighten the skin and improve its elasticity, and help prevent and repair skin cell damage.
It also contains an active ingredient called trans-retinoic acid (tretinoin), which may be able to improve or prevent some types of photodamage caused by prolonged sun exposure (such as wrinkles and pigmentation changes).
Rosehip oil has also been used for a long time to help reduce surgical scars, and at least one study has shown it to be useful in getting a better outcome in reducing redness and other discoloration and other appearance factors immediately after cosmetic surgery.
Please note, rose hip oil is derived from the seeds, not the flowers, so it does not smell like a rose.
Ingredients:
Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil (Rosa eglanteria) seed oil.
Suggested Usage:
Place three to four drops in the palm of your hand and gently massage onto your face and neck, ideally when the skin is moist (such as right after a shower).
For external use only. Do not consume. Do not apply on an open wound.
Some people may be allergic to rose hip oil, so patch testing first on an area other than your face for possible allergic contact dermatitis is recommended.
