Senecio haworthii 'Cocoon Plant', with its frosty gray cylindrical leaves and fuzzy texture, it comes as no surprise where this eye-catching succulent gets it name. With a shrub-like growth habit, this variety can grow up to 12 inches tall and 24 inches wide, making it a substantial part of your succulent collection. Fascinatingly, in its native South Africa this plant is often used as tinder, since the white hair-like coating on the leaves can be scraped off and used as an excellent fire starter.

An overall hardy variety, ‘Cocoon Plant’ can do well in a partially shaded location, though it will put on its best and fullest growth when receiving at least 6 hours of bright sun each day. Like many succulents, it prefers to be watered infrequently, and the ‘soak and dry’ method will work well for this purpose. Fast draining soil, a pot with an adequate drainage hole, and excellent airflow around the leaves will prove extremely helpful in preventing rot and pest infestation, especially in the form of mealy bugs. Despite its resilient nature, this variety can easily succumb to cold temperatures below Zone 10, and should be protected from frost in cooler climates.

If you have pets or small children in your home, take care to keep ‘Cocoon Plant’ out of their reach – despite its appealing texture, the leaves can be toxic if ingested, as are the bright yellow flowers it produces annually.

**Please note:  This plant may display soil staining below the soil line due to its white, porous leaves. This staining is NOT rot.**

    Indestructible
Style: Fetch Balls (Pack of 2), Size: 3 inch
These balls are indestructible! We have a lab and a lab mix and they CANNOT damage these balls. They love them for fetch and to just chew on them (slightly squishy, but NO damage). Best toys we have bought for them.

Great trial set. Just be careful throwing the orange one!
Style: Assorted Balls (Pack of 3), Size: 2.5 inch
Blue isn't that easy to see in the yard White charges with bright light/UV and is truly a game changer for night-time fetch. Both dogs clearly favor it. Orange is easy to see in the grass at day They're 3 different weights as well, so double trial. I prefer medium for my big dogs, though light performs well too The orange is HEAVY and unyielding. Do NOT throw it with a ball thrower. It could damage your house or knock your dog out. Seems tough though.

    Best Balls Ever!!!
    Size: Medium
These are the best balls ever! We have 2 very active ball loving dogs and these bounce very well and they actually hold up with active play and chewing. They still look brand new after daily use for months!

Finally a ball my power chewers cannot destroy
    Size: Medium
I have two dogs, an American Bully and an American Pit Bull Terrier, and both of them love to chew. Most balls last a very short time around here before they are shredded or missing big chunks. This one has actually held up. They chase it, tug on it and sit and chew on it, and it is still in one piece with no pieces breaking off. One of my favorite things is being able to put food inside. I add some kibble or small snacks, and they will happily sit and work on it for a long time. It keeps them busy, gives them something safe to chew, and they get a little reward while they play. When they are done, I just rinse it out and it is ready to go again. If you have strong jawed dogs that usually destroy toys, this ball is worth trying. Mine really enjoy it and I feel better knowing they finally have a ball that can keep up with them.
