Crassula tetragona is a species of succulent plant in the Crassulaceae family, the same family as the popular Jade Plant (Crassula ovata).
It’s often nicknamed “Miniature Pine Tree” because its upright, woody stems and narrow, pointed leaves resemble a tiny conifer.

🌿 2. Key Features

  • Growth habit: Shrubby and upright, usually 30–100 cm tall (1–3 ft).
  • Leaves: Fleshy, bright green, narrow, and arranged in a cross pattern (hence tetragona = “four-angled”).
  • Flowers: Small, white, star-shaped blooms appear in clusters during late spring or summer.
  • Texture: Woody stems with soft, juicy leaves typical of succulents.

🌞 3. Growing Conditions

Requirement

Ideal Condition

Light

Full sun to bright indirect light.

Temperature

Prefers warm temps (18–30°C / 65–85°F); protect from frost.

Soil

Well-draining succulent or cactus mix.

Watering

“Soak and dry” method – water deeply, then let soil dry completely.

Fertilizer

Light feeding during active growth (spring/summer) with diluted succulent fertilizer.

How to handle a bare-root Crassula tetragona:

  1. Gently inspect the roots and trim off any damaged ones.
  2. Let the plant dry for 1–2 days to allow root ends to callous.
  3. Plant it in a dry, well-draining mix.
  4. Wait 4–7 days before watering to avoid rot while roots re-establish.

💧 5. Common Care Tips

  • Avoid overwatering — the biggest killer of Crassula species.
  • Provide good airflow around the plant.
  • Rotate occasionally for even growth.
  • It can be pruned or propagated easily from stem cuttings.

🌼 6. Uses and Aesthetic

  • Great for indoor decor, rock gardens, or bonsai-style arrangements.
  • Pairs beautifully with other drought-tolerant succulents.
  • Hardy and low-maintenance — perfect for beginners.

It's a sturdy chew toy
Color: Red
Definitely sturdy for a hearty chewer, but my dog wasn't that interested in it. For a treat I spread some peanut butter on it and the design has grooves so she spends some time licking the peanut butter. And it comes with 3 good size chew toys, so cheap enough to try and your dog might love them. Taking out of packing they did have that meat smell as advertised

Great purchase!
Color: Red, Color: Red
I have 3 very different dogs, a Doberman, a rat terrier, and a German short hair - Great Pyrenees mix. They all LOVE these durable chew toys. I will definitely be purchasing more when the time comes. I wouldn’t need more due to durability but my rat terrier is an expert toy hider! 😅
