They'll keep your hands warm and dry, and show up in the undergrowth if you misplace them. Fleece-lined and rubber-coated, these gloves offer excellent protection when gardening during cold and wet weather. They'll keep your hands warm and dry, and show up in the undergrowth if you misplace them. Watch out for prickles, as the waterproof coating isn't thorn-proof

To determine your size, measure the width of your hand across the middle, as shown in the diagram. 7cm = Size 7 (small, purple cuff), 8cm = Size 8 (medium, green cuff), 9cm = Size 9 (large, brown cuff) and 10cm = Size 10 (extra large, yellow cuff). I recommend moving up a size if caught in the middle, although some prefer a tighter fit. If you know your preferred size for lightweight Niwaki gloves, go up one size when choosing the winterweight gloves.

  • Suitable for gathering logs, clearing pond margins, jet-washing cars and patios, harvesting vegetables, and gathering seaweed from the shore.
  • Overall dimensions: 26cm x 14cm x 1.5cm

If required, hand-wash your gloves in warm, soapy water. Squeeze any excess water into a towel and then leave them to dry in a warm, dry location, avoiding direct heat. Stuff them with newspaper to speed up the process.

Answers Many Questions about Naval Developments
Format: Hardcover
The history offers a detailed and well organized account of the Royal Navy as it transitioned from sail to steam. Coverage included personalities, technology, tactics and strategy. The combination provided a complete appreciation of the dynamics at play, some unexpectedly. The details might be a bit much for a casual reader but offered plenty of avenues for research not available or compiled in one source. I look forward to the final volume, which should describe another watershed era.

Great Book with a different perspective
Format: Hardcover
This will be a short review of a very long book. I ordered the book expecting more of a history of the British Navy, but this is more of a history of Britain with respect to its navy. It is still excellent and authoritative, just different than I expected. I really appreciate a somewhat different perspective than I have found in some other books. For example, any discussion of Jackie Fisher I have read previously seemed to border on the hagiographic, whereas here he seems to get a very evenhanded appraisal. A great book, highly recommended.
