Description: The Pineapple Tomato is a beautiful, bicolored, high yielding heirloom that has deliciously rich, fruity, sweet, and tangy flavor.  Its firm, meaty, orange-yellow flesh is marbled with pink and red, has low acidity, and is almost seedless.  These ribbed beefsteak tomatoes are huge and can grow up to 2 lbs. each! Pineapple tomatoes are great in salads, and taste even better on sandwiches.  This variety is very productive, and has been known to produce as many as 25 tomatoes on one plant!  This plant grows tall, with lots of foliage, and will definitely need support for its heavy fruit.

How To Grow

Sowing:  Start tomatoes indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost of spring, or direct sow in warmer climates. Sow seeds 1/4" deep and 1" apart. Tomatoes need 70-75 degrees F to germinate, as well as adequate light. Keep the soil moist, but make sure there is proper drainage, or the seeds can rot. When the second set of leaves emerge, transplant the seedlings into individual pots. Bury the stems up to the lowest set of leaves for strongly rooted plants.

Growing:  Provide a trellis for this indeterminate tomato, providing extra supports where fruit set. Protect plants, if temperature drops below 55 degrees F, or damage will occur. Keep soil consistently moist, or cracking may also occur. Mulching can be beneficial to preserve moisture, and deter weeds.  It is important to avoid wetting the leaves to reduce diseases. You can prune suckers to increase production, (I usually don't bother, due to laziness, but I'll give my plants big trims every month or two once the tomatoes are removed from that section). I surround my tomato plants with basil (it's a great Tomato horn worm deterrent)  Other companions include, carrots, garlic, or onions.  However, avoid planting them with cabbage, or corn.

Harvesting:  Test the ripeness of tomatoes by pressing them gently; the flesh should yield slightly. The mature color also indicates ripeness. If the stem does not come easily off the vine, cut it with a scissors to avoid damaging the vines. Vine ripened tomatoes have the best flavor, but you can harvest them before they fully ripe if pests or weather become an issue.  As soon as frost comes, all tomatoes should be harvested, even the green ones. Unripe tomatoes will ripen eventually, if kept in a warm place out of direct sunlight. Seed saving: Since cross pollination between most tomato varieties is unlikely, isolation is not a concern.  Pick fully ripe tomatoes and separate the seeds from the pulp, and let completely dry.  You can also ferment your seeds to remove the gel like substance on the seeds exterior.  During fermentation, any bad seeds will float to the top, and all of the viable seeds stay sunk to the bottom.  Fermenting your seeds can also increase germination rates as well.  To ferment, squeeze the seeds, along with its gel, into a jar.  Add some water, and let it sit at room temperature for a couple of days, you should see a film form on the top, and it should smell a bit sour. Once the film forms, skim it off the top, and rinse out your seeds.  Place them on parchment paper to dry.  Once dry, store your seeds for the next season.

LazySpin 2 Tier Lazy Susan Organizer, 9.25''
Size: 9.25in 1 Pack
I replaced my one tier lazy susan with the two tier. The two tier is so much better. Easy to put together. The clear organizer is smart.

2-Tier spice holder
Size: 9.25in 1 Pack
While upgrading my larger things in the pantry, I knew I had to get my spices all together so I found this 2-tier stand , which my daughter told me about, and I’m sure glad she did. First of all, easy to put together for an 86 yr old . But most of all, the smaller spice containers set up very nicely on top and I placed them so they faced outward as I turned the stand. The taller spice jars sat cuddled together on the lower shelf and again as I turned the table I could read the names very well. Needless to say I have quite a bit of spices and realized I needed another spice rack, which I quickly ordered. By the way you can order a 2-pack of these. I’m so pleased with my choices.

Great for the price
Size: 9.25in 1 Pack, Size: 9.25in 1 Pack
It’s great, easy to put together, looks nice for a lazy susan but I might be returning it bc it doesn’t hold all my spices in my cabinet. I wish the tiers were spaced out more evenly so taller spices would fit on the top.

Great shelves
Size: 16.5 Inch, Color: Rustic Brown
I loved these for my room, they were easy to install and super versatile, I love how easy it was to assemble them and how functional they became once I was done setting them up. They fit perfectly next to each other and I love how my room looks nice since I don't like relying on bookshelves or anything of that category and rather have wall shelves. They are really stable and I love how they look, they are also really easy to clean since I spilled some baby powder from my last waxing session and they clean up pretty well. Overall, just know that these shelves are super stable, durable and versatile, I love how many things can fit on it if you know how to organize or don't have much stuff to put on them; it's all up to you and what you need them for, so I recommend them 10/10!

Great shelves! Had for years!
Size: 16.5 Inch, Color: Rustic Brown, Size: 16.5 Inch, Color: Rustic Brown
I love these shelves, I’ve had them set up both ways, as a floating shelf and the other way where you get some side support. I’ve had them for years, moved with them, and they continue to work great. I’ve had a lot on them too weight wise (I love books) and they don’t cave in the middle. Great shelves and easy to assemble (I’m a newbie with a drill). Great value for the money, durability is great, adjustable, and great for what you get!
