  This hardy variety grows mainly in spring and summer and produces many small offsets, often called “chicks,” that spread on short stolons to form dense clusters over time. It grows best outdoors in full sun with gritty, well-draining soil. The offsets can be left to create a full mat of rosettes or separated and replanted to grow new plants.
